  • Publication number: 20240342547
Abstract: Various systems and methods that enhance an exercise activity performed by a user are described. In some embodiments, a rowing machine is described. The rowing machine includes devices and/or components that can enhance the user experience of a user performing a rowing activity using the rowing machine, such as during a rowing-based exercise class. For example, the rowing machine can include different sensors that capture information associated with a position or movement of a seat of the rowing machine relative to a position or movement of a handle of the rowing machine and utilize the captured information to perform actions associated with the user performing the rowing activity.

  • Publication number: 20070178022
Abstract: An improved analyte system where a temperature sensor and heater element combination are placed within a protective sheath. The sheath, temperature sensor, and heater element are placed within a reaction vessel so as to provide an internal heating source for reactive materials contained within the reaction vessel. The sheath extends through the reaction vessel into a reaction volume area of the vessel where an analytes-reagent reaction takes place. Further, the sheath is coated with a catalytic material, preferably platinum. The heater and sheath assembly may be introduced to any number of reaction schemes where reaction rate and detection acceleration is desired. The heater and sheath assembly works in conjunction with software to tune heating rates, optimum temperature, cooling rates, and detection analysis.
