  • Publication number: 20220396013
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of forming a sensing device for supporting a plurality of nanopores upon an array of wells. The method involves providing a substrate, said substrate having a surface having an array of electrodes located thereon for connecting to or for configuring upon an electronic circuit. Separately, a well array structure is provided, which has an array of walls defining through-holes for defining wells. The substrate and well array structures are aligning said array of electrodes define, at least in part, a portion of the bases of respective wells at the bottom of the through holes. The resulting sensing device overcomes problems with known sensing devices by employing a substrate and/or well array structure, or hybrid thereof, that employs alternative materials or manufacturing processes.

  • Publication number: 20220386515
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for a systems and methods for improved LIDAR return light capture efficiency. One example method may include comparing, by a controller including a processor and at a first time, a first temperature of a first computing element to a first threshold temperature and a second temperature of a second computing element to a second threshold temperature. The example method may also include sending, based on a determination that the first temperature is below the first threshold temperature and the second temperature is above the second threshold temperature, a first signal to a switch to activate a data output corresponding to the second computing element. The example method may also include sending, to the second computing element, a second signal to cause a third computing element to increase heat dissipation from the third computing element to the first computing element.

  • Patent number: 11511462
Abstract: A system includes a dip tube, a feed line, and a check valve. The dip tube is inserted through an opening in a source of chemical precursor and into the chemical precursor in the source. A portion of the feed line is located in the dip tube. The feed line passes out of the dip tube. The chemical precursor is capable of flowing out of the source through the feed line in a downstream direction. The check valve is located in the portion of the feed line in the dip tube. The check valve permits the chemical precursor to pass substantially only in the downstream direction. The feed line is coupled to a transfer pump that draws the chemical precursor out of the source through the portion of the feed line in the dip tube.

  • Patent number: 11411763
Abstract: A smart home device (e.g., a voice assistant device) includes an audio control system that determines a set of one or more audio devices to include nearby devices that are capable of providing audio streams that are audibly detected by a microphone of the smart home device. The audio control system initiates a voice-interaction mode for operating the smart home device to receive voice commands from a user and provide audio output in response to the voice commands. The audio control system transmits an audio control signal to nearby devices that configures each nearby device to implement one or more of: reducing a volume level associated with the audio streams generated by the nearby devices while the smart home device is operating in the voice-interaction mode; and transmitting, to the smart home device, audio stream data associated with a current audio stream generated for audible output by the nearby device.

  • Patent number: 11322152
Abstract: Power consumption for a computing device may be managed by one or more keywords. For example, if an audio input obtained by the computing device includes a keyword, a network interface module and/or an application processing module of the computing device may be activated. The audio input may then be transmitted via the network interface module to a remote computing device, such as a speech recognition server. Alternately, the computing device may be provided with a speech recognition engine configured to process the audio input for on-device speech recognition.

  • Publication number: 20220068010
Abstract: Methods and systems employing augmented reality techniques via real-world objects for various purposes. Computer implemented methods are provided for animated augmentation of real-time video of static real-world objects. A computing device receives first data defining features and movements of a human subject, captures a video image of an object having features corresponding to human features, maps features defined by first data to corresponding features of the object, and uses the first data to animate the corresponding features of the object to correspond with the movements of the human subject defined by the first data. The object may be a physical 3D object. Embodiments may include positioning and orienting a 3D mesh representation of the object in registration with the object video image, prior to mapping the features defined by the first data to corresponding features on the 3D mesh. Recorded audio messages may be played in synchronism with the object.

  • Patent number: 11245949
Abstract: A secure conferencing device operating in a host or a guest mode. In host mode, the secure conferencing device coupled to an interactive digital signage (IDS) device, grants conference control to a host computer of the IDS device. The secure conferencing device receives a guest control signal and a guest video stream from a guest device, where the secure conferencing device prevents the guest control signal from being communicated to the host computer, yet transmits the guest video stream to the host computer for display on the IDS device. In the guest mode, the secure conferencing device grants conference control to a guest device, enables the guest device to affect a component of the IDS device, but does not enable the guest device to communicate guest control signals to the host computer of the IDS device.
