  • Publication number: 20250145495
Abstract: A system for an aquatic application is provided in the form of a pump, a filtration system, a container, and a controller. The container is arranged to be in fluid communication with the filtration system and retains a chemical cleaning agent. The valve is positioned to be in fluid communication with the container and the filtration system. The controller is in communication with the valve. The controller is designed to determine a first permeability value associated with the filtration system at a first time period and initiates a cleaning procedure by providing the chemical cleaning agent to the filtration system when the first permeability value is below a permeability threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20250124485
Abstract: An online system receives orders from users and dispatches pickers to fulfill the orders by obtaining ordered items at a retailer. If an ordered item cannot be found by a picker, the picker may refund the item or attempt to find a replacement item. While obtaining a replacement item may increase revenue to the online system, it can also cause a bad outcome for user experience (e.g., an unacceptable replacement item, a refund request of the replacement item, etc.). To balance these interests, the online system trains a model to predict an outcome metric comprising a likelihood of a bad outcome from replacing an item or an expected amount of profit to the online system from a replacement item. The online system compares the outcome metric to a threshold to determine whether to promote or dissuade the picker from replacing a not-found item.

  • Publication number: 20250084912
Abstract: A soft shackle is provided that incorporates a locking mechanism that prevents or limits travel of a loop from passing back over a shackle knot caused by slippage when not under tension of a load. The locking mechanism controls the loop's ability to expand in size, such as through a positive locking force or establishes a safety factor with respect to the size of the loop needed to slip over the knot, or both.

  • Publication number: 20240314106
Abstract: A first compute server of a distributed cloud computing network receives traffic that is destined for a private application or service running on a server of a customer external of the distributed cloud computing network. That server is connected with the distributed cloud computing network through a network interconnect. One or more policies that are configured for the customer are used to determine whether the traffic is allowed to access the private application or service. The first compute server transmits the traffic to a second compute server of the distributed cloud computing network that has the network interconnect. The second compute server transmits the traffic to the server over the network interconnect using as its source IP address an IP address that is dedicated to the customer.

  • Publication number: 20240208037
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a rapid repositionable construction shelf. In an illustrative example, a repositionable construction shelf may, for example, extend along a longitudinal direction with intersecting opposing protrusions. The opposing protrusions may advantageously be configured such that the opposing protrusions may releasably couple the opposing arms to at least one adjacent vertical construction beam. The opposing protrusions may, for example, be positioned such that a distal protrusion is higher than a proximal protrusion such that the weight of the shelf urges both protrusions to frictionally engage with the vertical construction beam.

  • Publication number: 20240075760
Abstract: A crafting apparatus (10) includes a working portion (22) and a base portion (20). The working portion (22) includes a lower surface (32) and an upper surface (34). The upper surface (34) defines a working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (X-Y-Z). The base portion (20) includes a lower surface (24) and an upper surface (26). The lower surface (32) of the working portion (22) is disposed adjacent to the upper surface (26) of the base portion (20). The lower surface (24) defines a non-working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (XS-YS-ZS). The upper surface (34) of the working portion (22) extends relative to the lower surface (24) of the base portion (20) at an angle (?22) for angularly-offsetting the working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (X-Y-Z) from the non-working three dimensional Cartesian coordinate system (XS-YS-ZS). Methods (200, 300) are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210326153
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to enforcing control flow integrity by adding instrumentation when source code is compiled or binary code is rewritten. An indirect call to a control transfer target (e.g., in the source code, in the binary code, etc.) can be identified. Moreover, the instrumentation can be inserted prior to the indirect call. The instrumentation can use a bit from a bitmap maintained by a runtime to verify whether the control transfer target is valid. When an executable image that includes the inserted instrumentation runs, execution can be terminated and/or other appropriate actions can be taken when the control transfer target is determined to be invalid; alternatively, execution can continue when the control transfer target is determined to be valid.
