  • Patent number: 5967305
Abstract: A dental implant package and holder is provided comprising a resiliently flexible envelope within a component box and a holder for holding a dental implant or implant component inside the resiliently flexible envelope. The resiliently flexible envelope is so configured and constructed that when it is contained in the component box it is under compressive stress. When the top of the component box is opened such stress is relieved by extension of the envelope through the open top. In one form of the invention, the component may be attached to a special holder for the component. The holder is an elongate memeber having a length and proximal and distal ends, a width and a thickness, the width being greater than about ten times the thickness, the length being from about three-fourths inch to one inch and being greater than about four times the width.

  • Patent number: 4856648
Abstract: A dental implant can be packaged under sterile conditions so that it can be installed without being touched by using a two container type package. The primary container is sealed with a conventional cap so that its interior is sterile. It is used to hold a secondary container the interior of which is sterile and is sealed off using an easily removed closure. This closure is constructed so as to support the implant in such a manner that the closoure can be used as a holder in locating the implant in a desired location. The closure is constructed so that the implant can be easily removed from it when the implant has been so located.

  • Patent number: 4826434
Abstract: A desirable dental implant can be constructed out of titanium so as to have a first end for insertion into a jawbone, an externally threaded shank extending from said first end, a tapered head on said shank adjacent to the second end of the implant and an internally threaded bore shaped so as to include a non-round socket in the threads of said bore. The exterior of the implant is preferably etched so as to increase its area.
