  • Publication number: 20240083326
Abstract: A powered retractable automobile cup holder controlled manually or by voice activation, whereby the cup holder is a rectangular metal or wood object with two holes for cups mounted to a stud along with a linear actuator attached to the vehicle support structure. An actuation rod is attached to one end of the linear actuator and the other end to the cup holder. A 6- or 12-volt power source supplies power to the manual electrical switch, a voice activation module and the linear actuator. The linear actuator along with an attached actuating rod rotates the cup holder about the mounting stud out from under the instrument panel of the vehicle for usage. The stud, or pivot point, which is attached to the vehicle support structure can be mounted to existing attachment points on the vehicle under the instrument panel via a bracket which will eliminate the necessity for the drilling of holes, cutting or welding.

  • Patent number: 11346522
Abstract: A rear hidden lighting system for an automobile is comprised of a lamp mounted to a bracket attached to the vehicle's rear structure, a linear actuator mounted to the vehicle's structure which rotates the lamp, an electronic relay system which powers the linear actuator in two directions, a switch mounted to the transmission of the vehicle which provides switched power to the linear actuator. When the vehicle is placed in reverse gear, the lamp will rotate out of a hidden position becoming visible and lighting the rear of the vehicle. The lamp will rotate back to the hidden position when the vehicle is taken out of reverse gear. An objective and benefit is that the lamp and bracket and the linear actuator can be mounted to existing attachment points on the vehicle which will not necessitate drilling holes, altering vehicle componentry or welding parts to existing vehicle parts or structure.

Abstract: A rear hidden lighting system for an automobile is comprised of a lamp mounted to a bracket attached to the vehicle's structure, a linear actuator mounted to the vehicle's structure which rotates the lamp, an electronic relay system which powers the linear actuator in two opposite directions, a switch mounted to the transmission of the vehicle which provides switched power to the linear actuator and a 12 volt or 6 volt power supply which is provided by the power source of the vehicle. The lamp and bracket is mounted to the rear structure of the vehicle in a hidden location. The linear actuator is mounted to the rear structure of the vehicle near the lamp in such a manner to as to allow rotation of the lamp as the actuator rod moves in and out of the body of the actuator. When the vehicle is placed in reverse gear, the lamp will rotate out of its hidden position becoming visible and lighting the rear of the vehicle. The lamp will rotate back to the hidden position when the vehicle is taken out of reverse gear.

  • Patent number: 8701402
Abstract: A reservoir-less power steering system having a hydraulic pump, a storage tube, a steering gear assembly, and a return line. The storage tube accommodates and provides hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump. Further, the hydraulic pump increases the hydraulic fluid pressure and transfers the pressurized hydraulic fluid to the steering gear assembly. A return line is connected to the steering gear assembly and coupled to the storage tube for returning the hydraulic fluid from the steering gear assembly to the hydraulic pump. Moreover, the storage tube extends upwards from the hydraulic pump to include a hydraulic fluid level measurement assembly.
