  • Patent number: 3937765
Abstract: Flame retardant compounds, O,O-diaryl N,N-dialkyl phosphoramidates are prepared by reacting a phosphoramidohalidate or a phosphoramidic dihalide with a phenol in the presence of an alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxide and a water-insoluble, water-immiscible, non-hydroxylic polar ketone which is a solvent for both the reactants and the product. High yields are obtained.
