  • Patent number: 8731725
Abstract: A fluid overfill detection and control system for controlling the transfer of fluid into a transport vehicle having multiple fluid compartments includes a plurality of overfill sensors that are connected in series with one another and that each produces an output pulse when the fluid level in its associated compartment is below a threshold level. A diagnostic line connected to each of the overfill sensors provides a diagnostic signal indicative of the number of overfill sensors that generate an output pulse, while a module on the vehicle provides an indication of the total number of overfill sensors located in the vehicle. To prevent a hazard due to the possible bypass of a overfill sensor, the controller compares the overfill sensor count signal to the diagnostic signal and inhibits the transfer of fluid into the vehicle if the values do not match.

  • Patent number: 8565966
Abstract: A hand held portable truck safety equipment tester uses loading rack criteria to confirm proper operation of the truck but is contained in a small portable battery operated unit. This unit allows for correlation to a rack controller's test and includes direct readout via an LED screen showing the error condition. Additionally, the tester has the capability to test all types of trucks without the need for adapters to accommodate different connectors and allows for remote diagnostics. The tester automatically determines which type of sensor and what grounding system is used.

  • Patent number: 5815243
Abstract: A positive lithographic printing plate exposed by an imagesetter and suitable for mounting on a press cylinder comprising a photo-lithographic DTR material having a DTR processed RIP image to be printed lithographically and a DTR processed ink repelling region for mounting the printing plate on the press cylinder. The RIP image is exposed according to exposure commands which are sent to the imagesetter by the RIP and the DTR processed ink repelling region is exposed according to exposure commands generated by the imagesetter.

  • Patent number: 5345870
Abstract: A "direct-to-press" diffusion transfer reversal positive lithographic printing plate and method for exposing same. The "direct-to-press" printing plate provides an ink receiving image area and at least one ink repelling mechanical gripper area. Additionally, the plate can include at least one ink repelling border area. The "direct-to-press" printing plate exposure method provides direct exposure of a diffusion transfer reversal photo-lithographic recording substrate by a laser imagesetter using a method of controlling both the imagesetter recording beam and the movement of the recording substrate by the imagesetter. The imagesetter improvements allow exposure of a recording substrate in regions which could not previously be exposed by an imagesetter, providing a positive lithographic printing plate which requires no additional stripping or exposure steps after imagesetter recording.
