  • Publication number: 20240100325
Abstract: A fixation component includes tines extending from a base portion of the fixation component. Each tine is elastically deformable between a pre-set position and an open position. Each tine includes a hook segment extending from a proximal end near the base portion to a distal end. Each tine also includes a distal segment extending from the distal end of the hook segment to a tissue-piercing tip. When positioned in the pre-set position, the hook segment extends along a pre-set curvature that encloses an angle between 135 degrees and 270 degrees, and the distal segment extends away from a longitudinal axis of the fixation component.

  • Patent number: 9652621
Abstract: An electronic transmission system and method for converting and transmitting transmissions to provide secure communication between a plurality of users and protect or secure content of each transmission by preventing unauthorized individuals from capturing and viewing or hearing the transmitted content in its entirety. The electronic transmission system breaks a transmission apart into a random plurality of pieces and randomly transmits each piece separately to a plurality of remote servers. If an unauthorized party tries to intercept and access an electronic transmission, they will not be able to capture the entire transmission and will not be able to recompile its actual content, but rather misleading content. A password or other suitable authentication requirement(s) authenticates the intended recipient and allows the original pieces to be retrieved and re-compiled for viewing or hearing.

  • Patent number: 9129107
Abstract: A document encryption and decryption system and method for selectively encrypting and decrypting files and attachments, electronic mail, text messages, and any other items to protect or secure its contents by helping to prevent unauthorized individuals from viewing data in human-perceivable or readable form. The encryption and decryption system includes remote authentication to verify user credentials stored on a remote database hosted by a web server. The encryption system further includes remote deletion to automatically delete at least encrypted items stored on the user's computer, handheld or portable device, smartphone, tablet, and any other computer of any kind when enabled and logged onto a network. The encryption and decryption system includes selectively decrypting items by retrieving a decryption key and decrypting the item, and/or typing a decryption key if the item cannot be decrypted with the key, and/or sending an invitation to a recipient using the web server.

  • Publication number: 20110290698
Abstract: A public notice posting kit, method and apparatus for posting a notice around a circumference of a support such as a post, tree and the like is provided. The kit includes a flexible waterproof transparent envelope for holding the public notice, and a stretchable mounting device for latitudinally attaching the envelope around the circumference of the support. The method involves inserting the public notice into a flexible waterproof transparent envelope; latitudinally stretching a mounting device around the circumference of the support; and attaching the mounting device to the envelope. The method may further include covering an opening in the envelope with a flap to protect the opening, and hence, public notice, from the external elements. The apparatus includes a flexible waterproof transparent envelope for holding the public notice; and a stretchable mounting device latitudinally and releasably connected to the envelope for attaching the envelope around the circumference of the support.

  • Patent number: 6971129
Abstract: An adjustable bed skirt, for use with a bed having a mattress and a box spring, includes side panels having a non-slip portion, and end panels also including a non-slip portion. By inserting the non-slip portion of each side panel and each end panel between the mattress and the box spring, the side and end panels are retained in position so that the remaining non-inserted portion of each of the side and end panels hangs adjacent the box spring and forms a bed skirt thereon. Caps including a non-slip portion may also be inserted between the mattress and the box spring, adjacent edges of the box spring, to hide any gaps between edges of the side and end panels. The bed skirt may also be used with a bed having a mattress placed on a frame, and supported between the mattress and the frame.

  • Patent number: 5056804
Abstract: A device that folds flat and compact for storage opens to a folding lounge chair with an adjustable angle backrest. The device includes a backrest frame and a seat frame across which is stretched a fabric web to support an occupant. The two frames are joined at one end by an adjustable angle hinge. At a second end of the backrest frame is a handle. At a second end of the seat frame is a pair of wheels on an axle suspended below the seat. Folding U-shape support members can be extended transverse to the frame to hold the chair above a supporting surface. The frames can be opened to lie in a common plane and the chair turned over to form a rolling cart with one or more support members extended to hold items for transporting with the wheels down, the handle up and what had been the under surface of the fabric web now serving as the upper surface to support items.

  • Patent number: 4132435
Abstract: A three wheeled vehicle with a pair of steerable front wheels mounted to turn on a kingpin which is inclined forwardly and upwardly. The front wheel axis is offset ahead of the kingpin. The frame tilts in the direction of turning and the vehicle may be steered either by turning the front wheels or by leaning to tilt the frame. The vehicle is driven by a single rear wheel. In one form, the vehicle has a load carrier on the frame which tilts in a turn. In another form, the load carrier is connected with the kingpin and front wheels, remaining level in a turn. The frame has an intermediate joint so that one rear portion may be assembled with different types of front portions.
