  • Publication number: 20100060662
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for applying body modifications to an avatar in a virtual world environment is defined. The method includes an operation to detect movement of the avatar into a facility that is a virtual world representation of a body modification facility. In another operation the method requests submission of a body modification to be applied to the avatar. The method also includes an operation to receive the submission of the body modification where the submission is a graphic illustration of the body modification. The method sends the submission of the body modification to a review process in order to monitor body modifications within the virtual world environment. In another operation, the method applies the body modification to the avatar once the body modification has passed the review process.
