  • Publication number: 20260143087
Abstract: A method and system for real-time generation and display of 4D spatial video of a participant in a web-based video conference includes a headset device that captures participant video comprising a plurality of frames that depict the participant from multiple viewing angles and/or with multiple facial expressions. The headset generates a base three-dimensional (3D) model of the participant and a plurality of 3D blendshapes of the participant from first frames, each 3D blendshape comprising expression coefficients, and renders a 3D photorealistic avatar of the participant for display. The headset extracts facial expression parameters associated with the participant from subsequent frames and selects one of the 3D blendshapes using the extracted facial expression parameters. The headset modifies one or more of the expression coefficients of the selected 3D blendshape based upon the extracted facial expression parameters and updates the 3D photorealistic avatar according to the modified expression coefficients.

  • Publication number: 20250329101
Abstract: A method and system for real-time conversion of two-dimensional (2D) video into three-dimensional (3D) holographic video content includes a headset device configured to capture video that includes a screen displaying 2D video content. The headset identifies a region of interest in the captured video that corresponds to a subject in the 2D video content, converts the captured video into a 3D depth map including an initial 3D model of the subject, overlays an initial high-definition texture on the initial 3D model of the subject, the initial texture generated from the captured video, and re-project the textured initial 3D model into displays of the headset device to align with the subject in the 2D video content.

  • Patent number: 12409283
Abstract: A method for controlling a humidifier of a CPAP device including a controller, the method including controlling a heating element in the humidifier with command signals from the controller, sensing a temperature of a fluid in the humidifier with a sensor in the humidifier that transmits signals to the controller, establishing an acceptable operating range for the signal transmitted to the controller; determining whether the transmitted signal is within the acceptable operating range, if the signal is within the acceptable operating range treating the signal as being indicative of the temperature of the fluid in the humidifier and using the signal to control the heating element, and if the signal is outside of the acceptable operating range, the controller determines the humidifier to be unavailable.

  • Publication number: 20250060292
Abstract: Methods for preparing imaging samples by applying a liquid or semiliquid substance to a substrate surface in order to mitigate the deleterious effects of vacuum and other conditions used for sample preparation, thereby preserving the structure of at least a portion of deposited samples. These methods are useful for MS-based electron microscopy (EM) sample preparation at room temperature, but are also applicable to other imaging methods. These methods also enable transmission electron microscopy (TEM) structural confirmation of ions passing through a mass spectrometer. Additionally, only entry-level negative staining techniques for TEM are required, making this technique much more widely available than cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM).

  • Patent number: 12206981
Abstract: Described is an image capture device which provides substantially immediate indications to a user that an image capture device is on after the user has turned on the image capture device. The image capture device can include a processor and a low power processor. The low power processor can perform or initiate multiple substantially parallel processes upon detection of an image capture device power on event. In some implementations, the low power processor can initiate a boot-up process for the processor and a light emitting device (LED) power on process for a LED indicator. In some implementations, the low power processor can initiate a boot-up process for the processor, a LED power on process for a LED indicator, and a battery authentication process for a battery inserted in the image capture device.

  • Publication number: 20240285345
Abstract: Various of the disclosed embodiments provide systems and methods for coordinating actions among team members within a surgical theater, including robotic surgical theaters. For example, embodiments may create a three-dimensional model of the patient's interior, or a portion of the patient's interior, using data from an imaging device coupled to a surgical instrument. This model may then be used to facilitate more coordinated decisions among team members in the theater, such as the placement of additional laparoscopic ports. Augmented reality and virtual reality planning systems and methods availing themselves of the three-dimensional model, including “virtual dollhouse” roleplaying methods, may also facilitate team member coordination in some embodiments. Models of the surgical environment may also provide predictive analyses so as to extend the surgical team's “planning horizon.

  • Patent number: 11937152
Abstract: A tracking device is described. The tracking device receives, from a management server, pressure measurement thresholds. The tracking device monitors pressure measurements of the asset. Based on the pressure measurements, the tracking device enters an active mode of operation. When operating in the active mode of operation, the tracking device transmits sensor measurements of the asset to the management server. The tracking device determines new pressure measurements of the asset. Based on the new pressure measurements, the tracking device enters a passive mode of operation. When operating in the passive mode of operation, no data is transmitted or received from/to the tracking device to/from the management server.

  • Patent number: 11706466
Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods for presenting segments of at least one video program in accordance with a definition document are disclosed. For example, a processor may load a definition document for at least one video program. The definition document may specify segments of the at least one video program for presentation and further specify segment types for the segments. The segment types may identify whether a segment is to include video content, include audio content, or include both video and audio content. The processor may further obtain the at least one video program, present a first segment of the at least one video program in accordance with the definition document, and present a second segment of the plurality of segments of the at least one video program in accordance with the definition document.

  • Patent number: 11402292
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for detecting water leaks and calculating leak rates. The system is comprised of a “water widget”, a manifold assembly, and “expansion gauge”, and two flexible hoses. The system is connected to an existing plumbing system and the plumbing system is pressurized to determine the size of a “phantom water widget”. The “phantom water widget” is used to mathematically represent the additional water in a pressurized plumbing system due to the expansion of certain materials (e.g., PEX pipes). The “phantom water widget” and the “water widget” are then used to determine the leak rate. The invention is further comprised of a mobile phone application which used to calculate the leak rate based on data derived from the system.
