  • Patent number: 10455707
Abstract: Described herein are printed circuit boards (PCBs), PCB assemblies, and methods of manufacture thereof, which allow free placement of electrical components. The PCBs may have electrical pads that may couple to components through via-based connections and without the use of solder. The electrical components may be physically attached to the PCBs through tight fitting, lamination, and/or the use of adhesives. The distance between adjacent vias may be reduced, as accidental short-circuit risks due to solder bridging and similar effects are mitigated when the soldering process is bypassed. The PCB design and component placement may be flexible as to allow the use of electrical components with custom shape and/or customized terminal placement.

  • Patent number: 7344046
Abstract: A spacerless double bottom apparatus for a storage tank having a metal bottom and upwardly extending metal sidewalls. The apparatus includes a first lining layer of flexible plastic on top of the metal bottom. A plastic grid having a plurality of openings therethrough is installed on top of the first lining layer. At least one layer of fiber insulation is installed and resides on top of the grid. An upper metal bottom on top of the fiber insulation is welded to the sidewalls to form a fluid tight secondary containment compartment.

  • Publication number: 20070075547
Abstract: A method for installing an offshore wind turbine system includes driving a cylindrical annular monopile or a substructure into the soil. The monopile includes a flanged portion configured to support a wind turbine tower or a superstructure. The flanged portion extends radially from a peripheral surface of the monopile. The method further includes mounting a wind turbine tower directly on to the monopile, wherein the wind turbine is supported by the flanged portion of the monopile.
