Patent number: 10368603Abstract: The present disclosure is for a luminous helmet, comprising an outer shell configured to fit over a human head, an inner shell, a light-emitting band arranged along an elongated slit opening on the outer shell, and a light transmitting groove enclosing the light emitting band. In the manufacturing process, the outer shell was formed first, with a slit cut to match the light transmitting groove. The light-transmitting groove, comprising fixing grooves, engage fixing strips extending from edges of the outer shell along the slit opening. This structure then serves as a base to house the light-emitting band, and to receive pressure injection of the inner shell material.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2016Date of Patent: August 6, 2019Assignee: ShenZhen Qianhai LIVALL IOT Technology CO., LTD.Inventor: Kenneth Liu

Patent number: 10156582Abstract: The present disclosure is for a bicycle pedaling frequency sensor comprising a signal acquisition unit, a data transmission unit, and/or a data conversion unit. Pedaling frequency is obtained by recording and converting periodical changes of acceleration and/or of angular velocity in real time. This can be achieved by further incorporating a two axis, a three axis acceleration sensors, and/or gyroscope sensors. The pedaling frequency sensor communicates wirelessly with a computing terminal. It is powered and housed within the cavity of a shell, wherein the shell's outer surface is in thread fit with an inner surface of an expansion component. The expansion component allows the sensor to be inserted into and secured within hollow spaces on a bicycle's pedals and/or cranks.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2015Date of Patent: December 18, 2018Assignee: ShenZhen QianHai Livall IOT Technology CO., LTD.Inventor: Kenneth Liu

Publication number: 20180310655Abstract: The present invention is applicable to the field of bicycle motion protection and safeguard equipment. The present invention discloses a light emitting helmet, including a helmet main body and a light emitting lamp band, a fixing groove is formed in the surface of the helmet main body, a through hole is formed in the fixing groove, the light emitting lamp band is provided with a control line, the light emitting lamp band is fixed in the fixing groove through a fixing mechanism, and when the light emitting lamp band is fixed, the control line is in signal connection with a controller by penetrating through the through hole. As the light emitting lamp band is fixed in the fixing groove, the control line of the light emitting lamp band forms the signal connection with the controller by penetrating through the through hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2016Publication date: November 1, 2018Inventor: Kenneth Liu

Publication number: 20180206578Abstract: The present invention is applicable to the field of bicycle motion protection and safeguard equipment. The present invention discloses a luminous helmet, including an outer shell and an inner shell in joint connection with the outer shell, a light emitting band is arranged between the inner shell and the outer shell, the outer shell is provided with a strip-shaped fixing hole at the position of the light emitting band, a light transmission groove for accommodating the light emitting band is formed in the fixing hole, and an extension part extending toward the outer side is arranged at the opening of the light transmission groove. During blister forming of the outer shell, the blister forming is carried out after the whole PC sheet is colored, the area requiring light transmission is cut to form the fixing hole, and the light transmission groove and the fixing hole are fixed to form a light transmission structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2016Publication date: July 26, 2018Inventor: Kenneth Liu

Publication number: 20170097375Abstract: The invention discloses a bicycle pedaling frequency sensor, comprising a signal acquisition unit arranged on a circuit board and used for acquiring motion acceleration changes and/or angular velocity changes in different rotation directions of a middle axle in real time, a data transmission unit for transmitting the acquired data to a terminal, and a power supply for supplying power to each unit to work. When in use, the pedaling frequency sensor is fixed on the hollow middle axle of a bicycle, and the middle axle, a crank and pedals of the bicycle rotate synchronously; during riding motion, acceleration change and/or angular velocity change data is acquired in real time and transmitted to the corresponding processing terminal via the data transmission unit for processing, real-time rotating frequency of the middle axle of the bicycle is obtained, and then pedaling frequency data during riding is acquired.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 24, 2015Publication date: April 6, 2017Inventor: Kenneth Liu

Publication number: 20080084057Abstract: An electronic calculator comprising a housing having an upper portion and a lower portion rotatably secured together by a hinge portion such that the housing has an open and a closed position. When the housing is closed the upper portion is generally adjacent to and generally covers the lower portion and when the housing is open the upper portion is rotated away from the lower portion. A calculator module is positioned on one of the upper and lower portions. The other of the upper and lower portions includes a memo pad holder. The memo pad holder comprises a cavity within the other of the upper and lower portions and has an upper opening to allow a memo or note pad to be releasably received therein. A finger recess is in communication with the cavity and provides access to individual sheets of paper comprising a memo or note pad received within the cavity and assists in the removal of individual sheets of paper therefrom.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 25, 2006Publication date: April 10, 2008Inventors: Merrick Falkenstein, Kenneth Liu

Publication number: 20050126038Abstract: Footwear and footwear structures are provided as well as methods for forming composite components for footwear or footwear structures. In forming the structures, two material layers are overlaid such that the two material layers are in contact with one another. The two material layers are heated to a forming temperature and are then vacuum-formed together to form a composite material layer in a three-dimensional form of the footwear structure. A provided footwear structure includes an upper and a sole assembly attached to the upper. The sole assembly includes a first material layer made of a thermoplastic, and a second material layer attached to the first material layer. The first material layer includes a recessed area including a flat support portion, and is transparent or translucent. The second material layer includes a portion that is positioned on a surface of the recessed area, and a color of the second material layer indicates a location and/or a function of the second material layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2003Publication date: June 16, 2005Applicant: K-Swiss Inc.Inventors: Joseph Skaja, Kenneth Liu, David Preskar, Steven Nichols

Publication number: 20050108896Abstract: An athletic shoe includes a sole assembly and a cushioning arrangement disposed within the sole assembly. The cushioning arrangement includes a cushioning element, and a stiffening spring at least partially surrounding the cushioning element. The spring has a stiffness greater than the cushioning element. The athletic shoe can include a sole assembly having cushioning arrangements provided across a width of the sole assembly. In a preferred arrangement, similar cushioning assemblies are disposed on medial and lateral sides of the shoe, with three additional cushioning assemblies provided between the lateral and medial assemblies. Each of the lateral and medial assemblies can include a stiffening spring that at least partially surrounds at least one cushioning element.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2003Publication date: May 26, 2005Applicant: K-Swiss Inc.Inventors: David Preskar, Kenneth Liu, Graham Jelley

Publication number: 20050008133Abstract: The invention is directed to a methodology for validating user identities. A user telephone number is registered, and in a subsequent communications link, the registered telephone number is obtained. A user may provide the registered telephone number by directly inputting the number via the communications link, or the registered number may be obtained from signaling information provided in connection with the establishment of the communications link. A security code established at the time of registration of the user telephone number, and associated with that number, is then obtained from the user via the communications link. After both the registered telephone number and the security code have been obtained, they are processed in a manner to identify a validation status of the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2003Publication date: January 13, 2005Inventors: Kenneth Liu, Han Wang
