  • Publication number: 20140364115
Abstract: An example system includes a controller and a plurality of intelligent edge devices. The controller is to adopt the plurality of intelligent edge devices and inform each of the plurality of intelligent edge devices which of the other plurality of intelligent edge devices are proximate to the intelligent edge device. The plurality of intelligent edge devices are each to (i) create a trusted relationship with the other plurality of intelligent edge devices that are proximate to the intelligent edge device, (ii) collect baseline persona information for a client connected to the intelligent edge device, (iii) collect dynamic persona information for the client connected to the intelligent edge device, (iv) store the baseline and dynamic persona information, and (v) transmit the baseline and dynamic persona information for the client to at least one of the other plurality of intelligent edge devices that are proximate to the intelligent edge device.

  • Publication number: 20140243094
Abstract: Systems, methods and software merge a Virtual World, Live Event and Entertainment Channel, thus creating “The Perfect Storm” of gaming and entertainment whereby the characters of a social network game (e.g., an online fantasy sports league) are represented by human beings who register to be avatars of characters supported by a “Character Service Center,” while players compete to bring avatars to life in a Real World event (e.g., a Real World sports league), where the human beings behind the avatars compete for prizes while staying in character, as these competitors and players are incentivized by a “Collaboration Incentive Platform.

  • Publication number: 20140193417
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the membrane transporter NaPi2b (SLC34A2) as a target for therapy, including immunotherapy, and particularly cancer therapy. The SLC34A2 epitope peptide encompassing amino acids 312-340 of SLC34A2 has been identified as an ovarian cancer epitope using the monoclonal antibody MX35. The invention also relates to the use of SLC34A2 and particularly SLC34A2 peptides in generating antibodies which have anti-tumor or anti-cancer activity or in stimulating an immunological response. The invention further relates to antibodies specifically directed against NaPi2b (SLC34A2) and the SLC34A2 peptide(s), including veneered, chimeric, single chain and humanized antibodies. Methods for generating an immune response and for treatment of tumors and cancer are also provided. Assays for screening and identifying compounds directed against SLC34A2, including the SLC34A2 epitope peptide, and additional antibodies are provided.

  • Publication number: 20120256061
Abstract: Scale model fish and wildlife replicas are mounted on rectangular shaped bases and can be displayed individually, attached to one another by using a dog-bone clip or pin, or slid into a vertical, or wall mounted base unit capable of holding 5, 10, or more replicas. The top and bottom edges of the replica mounting base and the inside edges of the slots on the wall mount base, are angled to allow the user to slid the mounted replica into the base unit easily, resulting in a secure mount. The replica mounting bases and the wall-mounted bases will be made of wood, and/or various plastics or resins using current processes. The back side of the replica mounting bases have slots to attach the dog-bone clips, and a slot to hang on a nail, or other device.

  • Patent number: 8228510
Abstract: An improved dimensional detection system is portable and can be used to characterize a workpiece. The dimensional detection system employs as few as a single focused light source and as few as a single camera along with a calibration data set to convert the illuminated pixels of an image of a beam on the workpiece into a cloud of real world points in space on an outer surface of the workpiece. The cloud of points can be processed to characterize the workpiece, such as by determining the right hexahedron that would encompass all of the real world points in space and which could be used to determine a dimensional weight of the workpiece.
