Abstract: The present disclosure relates to retaining rings that include tunable chemical, material and structural properties, improved structural and fluid transport configurations and new methods of manufacturing the same. According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, it has been discovered that a retaining ring with improved properties may be produced by an additive manufacturing process, such as a three-dimensional (3D) printing process. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an advanced retaining ring that has discrete features and geometries, formed from at least two different materials that are formed from one or more polymers. The layers and/or regions of the advanced retaining ring may include a composite material structure, such as a polymer that contains at least one filler, such as metals, semimetal oxides, carbides, nitrides and/or polymer particles.

Abstract: The nature of the disclosures of the Telephone Grid is a new process of jotting down telephone numbers. It is a process of checking off numbers on a grid, instead of having to write them down. It is especially useful to people who cannot write quickly, like the elderly or handicapped, as well as useful to business people who need to read and record numbers accurately.

Abstract: In a method and system for imaging using multiple apertures, the present invention uses an array of lens elements to form the aperture for a high resolution imaging system. The light from each lens element is properly phased and reduced in volume to form a compact imaging system that captures images with higher resolution than possible with each individual element, potentially the resolution will correspond to an aperture equivalent to the size of the lens array.

Abstract: A data processing unit including means for reducing original data or producing the data in coded form and for recording the same on photographic or magnetic media e.g. photographic film or disc or magnetic tape, scanning means for sensing the data recorded on the record media to produce electrical signals indicative of the reduced or coded data and means including decoding means where the original data is coded and responsive to the signals from the scanning means for reproducing the data on a static visual reading device e.g. an electrophoretic memory unit, in a legible form recognizable by a reader. The decoding means is responsive to address data signals from the scanning means to produce output signals indicative of the coded data in decoded form.
