Abstract: A system and method for joining tubing of different sizes including a first connector including a first and a second projection and a lumen extending therethrough. The first projection has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the second projection. A first coupling includes a first and second coupling member. The first coupling member has a first body including a first aperture extending therethrough along a length thereof, the first body including threads. The second coupling member includes a second body having a second aperture extending therethrough along a length thereof. The second body includes threads complimentary with the threads of the first coupling member permitting the first and second member to be threadedly engaged, and the first aperture has a diameter larger than a diameter of the second aperture.

Abstract: Embodiments of a vertical pipe handler system (50) and method of its use include a casing tong handling tool (10) connected to a lifting tool (55) having a gripper head (51) and supported by an arm (53) of the vertical pipe handler system. The casing tong connection (33) of the handling tool is located toward the tool's lower end (21) and may be offset in a horizontal direction from the connection (29) to the lifting tool. The casing tong (60) then hangs off-center relative to the lifting tool. The amount of offset may be effective to prevent interference between the gripper head and a tubular being handled by the casing tong.

Abstract: An eye speculum including a frame and a first and a second holder movably mounted on the frame. A first retraction blade is secured to the first holder and a second retraction blade secured to the second holder. An adjustment mechanism is operably secured to the frame and to the first and second holders. The adjustment mechanism includes a rotatable actuating device engageable by a user, wherein rotation of the actuating device translates the first and second holders relative to each other to control a separation distance between the first and second retractor blades.

Abstract: An endoscope distal end protector and method including a body having a plurality of interconnected spaced members forming a body interior. The body has a longitudinal axis and defines a plurality of openings into the body interior. A first cover is disposed on the body and includes a first aperture formed therein. The first aperture is deformable and adapted to permit an endoscope distal end to pass therethrough and into the body interior and adapted to resiliently engage the endoscope distal end to retain the body on the endoscope distal end.

Abstract: A suction valve including a valve body having a first portion and second portion including a sidewall extending from the first portion along a valve body longitudinal axis defining a valve body interior. The second portion has an open end forming an inlet and the side wall having an outlet. A stem is disposed in the valve body interior and operably connected to a sealing member. The sealing member has a valve seal disposed thereon. The valve seal is movable between a closed position wherein the valve seal seals the inlet and an open position wherein the inlet is unsealed. The sealing member has a flexible member extending from the stem, wherein the sealing member is angularly deflectable relative to the valve body longitudinal axis when in the open position upon operation of a fluid flowing through the inlet and the outlet.

A dropbox assembly includes a dropbox housing defining an interior, and a gear assembly disposed within the interior of the dropbox housing. The gear assembly includes an input gear and an output gear. The dropbox assembly further includes an output shaft coupled to and rotatable with the output gear, and a pump mounted to the dropbox housing. The pump includes a pump housing disposed exterior to the dropbox housing and a pump shaft, the pump shaft coupled to and rotatable with the output shaft.

Abstract: A system for controlling a brake of a unit hauled by a work vehicle may generally include a valve assembly. When a speed of the work vehicle exceeds a predetermined speed threshold, the valve assembly may be configured to allow the brake to be actuated when first and second brake pedals of the work vehicle are depressed, either individually or simultaneously. However, when the speed of the work vehicle is less than the predetermined speed threshold, the valve assembly may only be configured to allow the brake to be actuated when both of the first and second brake pedals are depressed simultaneously.
