Abstract: A system for braking a host vehicle. A memory storing instructions executable by a processor includes instructions to actuate friction brakes in the host vehicle when a brake condition occurs. The brake condition includes that the host vehicle is parked on a roadway, a person is located exterior to the host vehicle, and an approaching vehicle will come within a distance threshold of the host vehicle.

Abstract: A system includes a first vehicle computer programmed to monitor first vehicle sensor data as the first vehicle traverses a route; identify a location of interest along the route based on a topographic feature of the location of interest determined from the first vehicle sensor data; and store a selected subset of the first vehicle sensor data for the location of interest in a set of collected data about the route. The system further includes a second computer programmed to receive the collected data about the route; and based on the collected data about the route, generate a set of guidance data including one or more recommended operating parameters for the location of interest, whereby the recommending operating parameters are available to a third computer for a second vehicle.

Abstract: Motor vehicles and methods for operating motor vehicles are disclosed herein. An example motor vehicle includes an electric drive, an electrical brake including one or more braking actuators, a drive controller communicatively coupled to the electric drive and the electrical brake, and a brake controller communicatively coupled to the electrical brake. The drive controller is to cause the one or more braking actuators to actuate in response to a signal indicating a failure of the brake controller.

Abstract: A liner has a thin pliant tubular portion and a stiff base generally conforming to the bottom of a container into which it is inserted and capable of disposing the tubular portion against the walls of the container. The liner is disposed in intimate contact with the container upon the filling of the liner with a liquid material and the free open end of the liner is sealed against the container to maintain the liner in intimate contact therewith and prevent collapse of the liner upon agitation and dispensing of the liquid.
