  • Patent number: 9809430
Abstract: The anchor and clevis system comprises a quick, tactical, and safe means to deploy a canine into an attic or other intended space to conduct a search and/or for the apprehension of a criminal suspect and comprises an anchor adapted to lock onto a support structure and a clevis attached to the anchor and threaded to accept a pole for remote deployment. Attached to the anchoring device by a carabiner is the top pulley. A lift rope is threaded through the top pulley allowing the user on the ground or lower floor to quickly lift a dog into an attic with minimal exposure to harm. The lift rope engages a lower pulley allowing a subject to be lifted by one user. Attached to the lower pulley by a second carabiner is a snap-shackle release system which allows the user to disengage the dog from the device remotely.

  • Publication number: 20160152453
Abstract: The present invention provides a quick, tactical, and safe means to deploy a Law Enforcement or Search and Rescue canine into an attic or other intended space to conduct a search and/or for the apprehension of a criminal suspect. The invention includes an anchor preferably adapted to lock onto a common support structure encountered in various forms of construction, e.g., 2? board or joist as typically used to build the rafter systems of attic spaces. A clevis attached to the anchor is threaded to accept a pole for remote deployment. Also attached to the anchoring device by a carabiner is the top pulley. A lift rope is threaded through the top pulley allowing the user on the ground or lower floor to quickly lift a dog into an attic with minimal exposure to harm, e.g., a suspect or dangerous condition/environment. The lift rope engages a lower pulley allowing a subject to be safely and easily lifted by one user.

  • Publication number: 20100331873
Abstract: An ultrasonic clamp coagulator assembly that is configured to permit selective cutting, coagulation, and fine dissection required in fine and delicate surgical procedures. The assembly includes a clamping mechanism, including a clamp arm pivotally-mounted at the distal portion of the instrument using a ball-bearing assembly, which is specifically configured to create a desired level of tissue clamping forces.

  • Patent number: 7093770
Abstract: A device for dispensing scent onto the ground from behind the ankle of a user during walking to attract animals. The device is comprised of a flat, rectangular body having first and second opposed sidewalls; a flexible cord; and a scent source. The body contains an aperture at a first end and a slit at a second opposed end. The slit provides access to a pocket enclosed by the sidewalls of the body. During use, the cord is inserted through the aperture of the body and detachably secured around the ankle area of a user. The scent source is located in the slit and pocket of the body. As the user walks, the body makes contact with the ground and the scent source, maintained in close proximity to the ground surface, dispenses animal scent attractant to the ground from behind the ankle area of the user.

  • Patent number: 6098018
Abstract: A cloud radar apparatus is mounted on a portable containerized unit, a number of which may be located at various positions throughout the planet. Cloud radar data from each unit are periodically measured and stored and made available to researchers, upon request, through the Internet or other network. The system comprises two computers operating on different operating systems. A first computer uses a first operating system which allows it to readily interface with various radar equipment using an IEEE 488 interface or the like, to monitor the health of the equipment and operate the equipment. A second computer system uses a second operating system in a multi-user mode which allows it to readily access and manipulate data files and transfer data over the network. Communication between the two computers is achieved by allowing the first computer to log into the second computer as one of the multiple users. The first computer may upload data to the second computer using a FTP protocol or the like.
