  • Publication number: 20220246010
Abstract: A detection chamber assembly of a smoke detector is provided. The detection chamber assembly includes upper and lower covers, louvers and a corrugated bug screen. The louvers are arranged with the upper and lower covers to define a chamber bound between the upper and lower covers and the louvers. The louvers include a first pair of louvers defining a first space therebetween to permit fluidic ingress to the chamber and a second pair of louvers defining a second space therebetween to permit fluidic ingress to the chamber. The second space is wider than the first space. The corrugated bug screen includes a body disposed about the louvers and a mesh corrugation feature coupled to the body at the second space to permit fluidic ingress to the chamber at the second space and to inhibit bug ingress to the chamber at the second space.

  • Publication number: 20050247883
Abstract: A flame detector system includes an ultraviolet sensor to detect ultraviolet radiation, and a microcontroller coupled to the ultraviolet sensor. The microcontroller processes output from the ultraviolet sensor to identify a flame. The system can also include a HV supply circuit to constantly refresh a drive voltage of the sensor. The microcontroller can sense when the sensor discharges and thereupon immediately refresh the sensor. The microcontroller can also monitor a run time for the sensor and adjust a drive voltage for the sensor accordingly. Further, a background count can be monitored to determine the health of the sensor. A memory can also be provided to store data associated with the detector, and a communications module can communicate the data stored in the memory to an external device. The microcontroller calculates a filtered event count and compares the filtered event count to a threshold to determine if a flame is present.

  • Publication number: 20050009405
Abstract: An adapter configured for use between an alarm device and a wire harness. The adapter includes a housing having first and second sides, a circuit board positioned at least partially within the housing, and a first connection configuration associated with the first housing side that includes a plurality of conductive contacts electrically coupled to the circuit board and configured to engage a first device. The adapter also includes a second connection configuration associated with the second housing side and having a plurality of male connection pins electrically coupled to the circuit board and configured to engage a second device. The second connection configuration includes a different connection configuration than the first receiver thereby providing an adaptive connection function between the alarm device and the wire harness.
