Abstract: Esterified polyalkene/UAR copolymer reaction products useful as (1) a friction modifier for lubricating oils such as automatic transmission fluids to improve torque capacity and anti-shudder durability and for continuous variable transmissions (CVTs), (2) a friction modifier for fuels or (3) a cold flow improver for diesel fuels are provided. The esterified copolymer reaction product may be used as is or can be further derivatized (e.g., by post treatment of the esterified copolymer reaction product with, for example, ethylene carbonate or boric acid).

Abstract: In a content management system having a plurality of resource managers storing objects, a replica resource manager stores a replica of an object stored in one of the plurality of resource managers. A library server contains a resource manager table that defines the plurality of resource managers and includes availability information for each of those resource managers. When a client requests an object, the library server identifies a primary resource manager storing the object. The library server also determines a replica resource manager storing a replica of the object and returns information identifying that replica resource manager if the resource manager table indicates that the primary resource manager is unavailable and indicates that the replica resource manager is online and available. The client then retrieves the replica object without incurring a timeout delay waiting for the primary resource manager to respond to an access request.

The method comprises: providing a plasma sensitive device adjacent to a substrate; depositing a plasma protective layer on the plasma sensitive device using a process selected from non-plasma based processes, or modified sputtering processes; and depositing at least one barrier stack adjacent to the plasma protective layer, the at least one barrier stack comprising at least one decoupling layer and at least one barrier layer, the plasma sensitive device being encapsulated between the substrate and the at least one barrier stack, wherein the decoupling layer, the barrier layer, or both are deposited using a plasma process, the encapsulated plasma sensitive device having a reduced amount of damage caused by the plasma compared to an encapsulated plasma sensitive device made without the plasma protective layer. Method stores representatives of a complex nested object in a data structure at locations determined by recursive multilevel hashing of the complex nested object elements. When needed, a match for an inputted complex nested object is determined by applying the same recursive multilevel hashing to the inputted complex nested object, as used during the storing of the complex nested object, and performing integer comparisons with hash values of the stored complex nested object.

The ACLs can be assigned to one or more resources, or items, or types of resources or items. A creator or owner of an ACL can grant privileges to others such that they may modify or assign the ACL. Each ACL can have one or more owners, i.e., users that can exercise control over the ACL. Any owner of an ACL can designate certain privileges to other users. These other users may then use the ACL based on the privileges granted to them.

Abstract: The segments of the vanes of a stator and the blades of a rotor for a gas turbine engine are dampened by utilizing braided wire cable that is affixed to adjacent segments such that each of the wire strands forming the cable is allowed to move relative to each other to dissipate the vibratory energy inflicted on the stator or rotor. The ends of the cable are welded or heated and then tapered to facilitate fitting into a sleeve or collar which in turn is affixed to the adjacent segments by braze, weld or the like.

A resilient flexible material maintains the main body in a generally vertical position when a majority of the main body is extending above the ground, bends the main body upon an incident of force on the main body, and returns the main body to the generally vertical position when the incident of force is removed.
