Abstract: There is provided a fit testing method comprising: providing a respirator donned by a wearer; providing a sensor in electrical communication with a sensing element, where the sensor is configured to monitor a particulate concentration parameter of a gas space within the respirator, and a second particulate concentration parameter of a gas space outside the respirator, where the sensor is attached to the respirator such that the respirator such that the weight of the sensor is supported by the respirator; and providing a reader configured to communicate with the sensor, where the reader is configured to provide a respirator fit parameter based on a comparison of the particulate concentration within the respirator to the particulate concentration parameter outside the respirator.

Abstract: A shatter-resistant electric lamp includes a base; contacts for connecting the lamp to a source of electrical energy; a filament or light source electrically connected to the contacts for converting electrical energy to light; a shatterable encasement, connectable to the base, for translucently encasing the filament; and a polymer coating deposited on a first portion of the encasement so that a second portion of the encasement remains uncoated. The preferred polymer coating is poly(phenylene sulfide).

Abstract: An improved stabilizer system for crosslinkable polyolefins consisting of a dialkyl pentaerythritol diphosphite and a sulfur-containing compound selected from the group consisting of the diester of thiodipropionic acid and a bis(3-hydroxy-4-alkyl-2,6-dimethylbenzyl) dithiolterephthalate, and an improved crosslinkable polyolefin composition comprising this stabilizer system.
