  • Publication number: 20170255907
Abstract: Technological solutions are introduced for providing a secure and effective (hence, enhanced) online dating forum. The ability to attend live events in person or remotely is coupled with presence location and automatic verification of user devices and identities. This allows secured communication between participants without having to disclose actual contact information of the participants or their device addresses.

  • Patent number: 9731297
Abstract: Assay cartridges are described that have purification, reaction, and detection zones and other fluidic components which can include sample chambers, waste chambers, conduits, vents, reagent chambers, reconstitution chambers and the like. The assay cartridges are used to conduct multiplexed nucleic acid measurements. Also described are kits including such cartridges, methods of using the same, and a reader configured to analyze an assay conducted using an assay cartridge.

Date of Patent: August 15, 2017
    Assignee: MESO SCALE TECHNOLOGIES, LLC.
Inventors: Eli N. Glezer, Stephen Higgins, Sandor Kovacs, Sudeep Kumar, Kenneth Page, Kristian Roth, George Sigal
  • Publication number: 20150190810
Abstract: Assay cartridges are described that have a plurality of chambers and a fluidic network that includes fluidic conduits and a multi-port valve designed to selectively connect the valve inlet and one valve outlet through a fluidic connector in the valve as the remaining valve outlets are sealed.

  • Patent number: 4466391
Abstract: An electric starting aid for a compression ignition engine includes a central conductive rod housed within a hollow extension secured to a body part. The rod has a tapered portion at least part of which extends beyond the extension and about which a conductive tape forming a heating element is wound in helical overlapping relationship. A fused glass filling supports the rod and element within the extension.

Assignee: Lucas Industries public limited company
    Inventor: Kenneth Page
  • Patent number: 4237843
Abstract: A starting aid for a combustion engine comprises a hollow elongated body and a refractory electrical heating element mounted in the body at one end thereof. Formed in said one end of the body are one or more holes through which, in use, the heating element can be exposed to the combustion mixture of an engine. In addition, the body is formed with at least one exhaust aperture which is spaced from the heating element in the direction of the other end of the body and which permits the escape of gases entering the body through said one or more holes. Extending through the body and electrically connected to the heating element is an electrode rod for supplying heating current to the heating element to raise its temperature. The electrode rod includes two relatively movable parts which are mechanically connected by resilient means to maintain the heating element in compression against said one end of the body and which are electrically connected by a flexible braid.
