  • Publication number: 20240118134
Abstract: Stray light in a metering structure is controlled by surrounding with a rigid shield an elongated length of a strut and supporting on the rigid shield a surface finish which is highly absorptive of light. The strut is thermally decoupled from the rigid shield using a plurality of insulating web layers comprising a multi-layer insulation (MLI) system disposed between the strut and the rigid shield. The MLI in such scenarios (1) thermally isolates the strut from the shield (2) serves as a support structure to support the rigid shield on the strut, and (3) absorbs thermally induced mechanical stresses as between the rigid shield and the strut.

  • Publication number: 20220253487
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for identifying and monitoring social media accounts belonging to offenders, inmates, and relevant third parties. In an embodiment, a social media monitoring system retrieves information from a criminal history database to identify and verify social media account information. In an embodiment, a social media monitoring system retrieves information from an offender communication device, such as a computer, phone, or tablet, to identify and verify social media account information. The social media monitoring system analyzes this information, retrieves social media accounts, and generates a confidence score and/or relevance score for each retrieved social media account. Social media monitoring system organizes links to the social media accounts based on the scores and also generates alerts when a security threat associated with the social media accounts is detected.

  • Publication number: 20050134669
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for adjusting dry ink concentration in a developing station (30) of a printer is disclosed. The adjustment is performed by calculating the thermal drift of a dry ink monitor (40) and applying the result as a compensating factor in calculations in a software algorithm. The dry ink monitor (40) has a sensing port (42) in contact with a dry ink concentration and is connected to a dry ink monitor interface board (10) that houses a temperature sensor (20). The monitor interface board (10) is positioned in proximity to the dry ink monitor (40) to enable the temperature sensor (20) to measure a temperature of the dry ink concentration. The software algorithm is used to adjust the dry ink concentration based on a slope coefficient calculated by the printer based on outputs from the dry ink monitor (40) and the dry ink monitor interface board (10).

  • Publication number: 20020164397
Abstract: The use of N-[N-(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-L-&agr;-aspartyl]-L-phenylalanine 1-methyl ester (neotame) as a sweetener in chewing gum compositions is disclosed. The chewing gums have been found to have a clean sweet taste profile with an extremely low level of sweetener usage. The use of neotame as a sweetener in chewing gum compositions also provides an extension of both sweetness and flavor as compared to that expected from the use of other sweetener ingredients.
