Abstract: A side-acting extractor tool of the present disclosure suitable for extracting from a keyway a broken key portion of a cut key includes a handle member; a blade member having a first end for connecting to the handle member, and a second and distal end for inserting into the keyway containing the broken key portion. The blade member is made of a spring material having a shim-like thickness for inserting into a clearance gap between the broken key portion and a wall of the keyway. The blade member also includes a longitudinal axis, and a deflectable finger portion having a memory position and extending sideways at an angle from the longitudinal axis for hooking against a part of the broken key portion, thereby enabling extraction of the broken key portion from the keyway by withdrawing the inserted blade member from the keyway.

Abstract: There is provided a method and apparatus for removing an interchangeable core (icore) of an interchangeable core or icore lock having (a) an icore housing; (b) a lock plug housing including a keyway, (c) a tumbler pins housing including stacks of tumbler pins; and (d) a control key movable sleeve having a thick lug segment including a projected cantilevered lug portion for retaining icore against a shoulder within the icore housing. The apparatus includes a mounting device for mounting a jig member against a front face of the icore lock; a drill set for drilling holes through the key plug housing and through the projected cantilevered lug portion; and a jig member mountable against the front face of the icore lock for guiding a drill from the drill set in precisely drilling a hole through the lock plug housing and through the projected cantilevered lug portion.

Abstract: An extractor tool and method of the present disclosure are provided for extracting from a recess such as a keyway a removable item such as a broken key portion of a cut key where the broken key portion includes at least one key bitting slope. The extractor tool of the present disclosure includes a handle member; and a tool member having a first end for connecting to the handle member, and a second and distal end for inserting into the keyway containing the broken key portion. The second and distal end includes a contoured jaw section contoured for following the at least one key bitting slope on the broken key portion and for maximizing a contact area between the contoured jaw section and the key bitting slope.

Abstract: Participant servers in a network of customers, suppliers and other trading partners exchange machine readable documents. The participants in the network use self defining electronic documents, such as XML based documents, which can be easily understood amongst the partners. Definitions of the electronic business documents, called business interface definitions, are posted on the Internet, or otherwise communicated to members of the network. The business interface definitions tell potential trading partners the services the company offers and the documents to use when communicating with such services. Thus, a typical business interface definition allows a customer to place an order by submitting a purchase order or a supplier checks availability by downloading an inventory status report.

Abstract: A lubricator for the bearings of a wheel hub that includes a bellows for accommodating changes in pressure in the wheel hub and utilizes a nongrease lubricant. Methods of manufacturing the lubricator and of lubricating wheel bearings are also provided.
