  • Patent number: 10806546
Abstract: An aligner fabrication system combines design data and material to form a plurality of dental molds with which a plurality of aligners are formed. The aligner fabrication system includes a build assembly that defines a build surface on which the dental molds are formed. The build assembly is constructed of a plurality of individual build platforms that are removably coupled together. Each individual build platform is associated with an identification entity. The dental molds are formed on the build surface. One dental mold is formed on one individual build platform. The design data associated with the one dental mold is linkable to the identification entity on the one individual build platform.

    Assignee: Ormco Corporation
Inventors: Yevgeniy Sirovskiy, Artem Borovinskih, Kenneth A. Phelps
  • Publication number: 20180304497
Abstract: Provided is a method in which a computational device generates a design of a negative mold of teeth. The negative mold of the teeth is fabricated from the design of the negative mold. An aligner is formed using the fabricated negative mold. Provided also is a negative mold of teeth for fabricating a positive model of the teeth for an aligner. The negative mold comprises a tooth surface, and an identity tracking entity coupled to the tooth surface to provide identification.

  • Patent number: 9314524
Abstract: The invention relates to topical formulations of flucytosine which demonstrate a clear advantage over currently available therapeutic regimens for the treatment and maintenance of fungal infections, particularly vulvovaginal candidiasis. The invention provides compositions which solve the long-standing need for antimicrobial agents which treat effectively resistant strains of Candida spp., especially C. albicans, C. glabrata, and C. tropicalis, and which pose limited risk of side effects, adverse reactions, or the development of resistant pathogens. The invention provides novel topical formulations of flucytosine designed to allow the active drug to act at the local application area, but which inhibit or moderate transdermal or transmucosal absorption of the drug, thus limiting systemic exposure.
