    Abstract: In a mobile communications device, a conversation identifier is generated for each of a plurality of messages. Each conversation identifier is generated based on addresses of message participants identified in the message. A request to display a particular message of the multiple messages is received. In response to the request, one or more other messages of the plurality of messages having a same conversation identifier as the particular message are identified based on the generated conversation identifiers. At least two of the one or more other messages are displayed concurrently.
