  • Patent number: 7041091
Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a feminine care product, includes a liquid permeable top cover, a generally liquid impermeable baffle, and an absorbent structure disposed between the top cover and outer cover. The garment facing side of the baffle includes hook material as a primary attachment mechanism between the baffle and the undergarment. The top cover is a hook compatible material that is releasably attachable to the hook material such that the article can be rolled into a tube-like configuration wherein the hook material is releasably engaged with the hook compatible material for maintaining the article in a rolled configuration.

  • Publication number: 20040102747
Abstract: A liner adapted for insertion into a crotch portion of thong underwear for absorbing bodily fluids and protecting the garment from such fluids. The liner includes a left liner edge and a right liner edge converging downward toward an apex of the liner. The liner is sized and configured such that upon insertion of the liner into the crotch portion, the liner apex contacts the crotch portion at a location adjacent a lower end of the crotch portion, the left liner edge does not extend laterally out beyond a left garment edge, the right liner edge does not extend laterally out beyond a right garment edge, and the liner apex is not overlapping with the web of the thong underwear that extends between the buttocks of the wearer. These fit characteristics ensure that the liner does not extend beyond the edges of the thong underwear or onto the web, thereby minimizing irritation of the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20030120251
Abstract: A selectively releasable, interengaging fastening system that may be used for a variety of articles such as, for example, shoes, garments, disposable absorbent products such as disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, incontinence products and the like. The fastening system includes a first fastener component that can constitute at least a first portion of an article. The first fastener component includes an engagement section having a plurality of substantially non-isotropic engagement members such that the engagement section has an axis of substantially maximal engagement. The fastening system also includes a cooperating fastener component that may constitute at least a second portion of an article such that the first and second portions of the article are capable of being joined by movement of the respective components together generally along an attachment direction into an overlapping and interengaging configuration.
