Abstract: A shooting rest for supporting a firearm includes at least three adjustable legs which can be positioned in various locations on the ground according to the terrain. A support bar is attached to one of the legs and to a base for providing support to the shooting rest. The shooting rest includes a first rest for supporting a rear portion of a gun and a second rest for supporting a front portion of a gun. The first rest is slidable on the base for accommodating various types of guns and is elongated for shooting straight ahead or at an angle without having to move the shooting rest. The shooting rest further includes an anchoring system having an anchor disposed into the ground and attached to the base for securing the base to the ground and stabilizing the shooting rest while shooting.
