  • Patent number: 6568696
Abstract: An angle sensor is used for determining the relative position of a steerable wheel hub, relative to a fixed wheel mounting hub. The angle sensor has a portion mounted on the fixed hub, but received in a recess in the kingpin. The kingpin has a central bore that receives a movable shaft of the sensor which is driven by the kingpin. As the steerable wheel hub is steered, it rotates about the axis of the kingpin and rotates the kingpin. The kingpin drives the shaft of the sensor to provide for an indication of the amount of pivotal movement between the wheel hub and the wheel mounting hub.

  • Patent number: 6513614
Abstract: A power machine including a transmission, a chain case, a motor and a hydraulic cylinder having a rod end and a base end and a plurality of hose couplings. The hydraulic cylinder coupled to a chain case such that the base end and all of the hose couplings are mounted within an interior portion of the chain case and such that the rod end of the hydraulic cylinder extends outside the chain case.

  • Patent number: 6486653
Abstract: A sensor for sensing the rotation of an output shaft of a motor used for driving a vehicle includes a disc on the output shaft that carries magnets facing toward a motor carrier and the motor. The motor carrier has an annular recess open on a side facing away from the motor, and a Hall effect sensor is placed in this recess and held with a T-shaped bracket having a tang that supports the Hall effect sensor partially in this annular recess for protecting it and positioning it adjacent the magnets on the disc.

  • Patent number: 6425453
Abstract: A transmission in a power machine includes an axle having an inboard and outboard end. The outboard end is coupled to a wheel through a universal joint. The inboard end is coupled, through a sprocket assembly and chain drive linkage to a hydraulic motor. The axle is supported at it inboard end by a single spherical bearing.

  • Patent number: 6186735
Abstract: A bucket for a front end loader is formed with a minimum number of parts so that it can easily be assembled held in fixtures and welded with robot welders. The bucket includes a unitary panel that forms a bottom wall and a rear wall, with a curved junction wall between the bottom and rear walls. An integral top rail is formed at the upper edge of the rear wall for structural integrity. The formed top rail is made with a sloped top rail wall to increase the visibility of a load in the bucket to an operator in a cab of a skid steer loader. The bucket walls and parts which weld thereon have locating tabs and mating edges for locating the parts automatically, so that they can be welded into position. The bucket is made with brackets for mounting it onto a quick attachment plate of a skid steer loader.
