  • Publication number: 20210341265
Abstract: A radio frequency attenuating switch including a switch having a first input for connection to an electrical power supply and first and second output leads for connecting a device such as a detonator. One or more RF mitigation devices are connected within one or more of the output leads.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 19, 2021
    Publication date: November 4, 2021

  • Patent number: 10240453
Abstract: A heat sink of solid state phase change material for a heat sensitive downhole tool component. The heat sink may be of a polyhydric alcohol based or other suitable material which is capable of undergoing a phase change from one solid form to another. That is, the phase change material need not undergo a phase change into a liquid form in order to absorb well heat and provide substantial protection to the heat sensitive downhole tool component. Thus, cost effectiveness, manufacturability and performance may all be enhanced which may be particularly advantageous where the component is of a single application use variety.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 2014
Date of Patent: March 26, 2019
    Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION

  • Patent number: 10151181
Abstract: A perforating gun includes a carrier, an explosive charge positioned within the carrier, a detonator positioned within the carrier, and a switch positioned within the carrier. The detonator detonates the explosive charge when the detonator receives power. The switch actuates between at least a first position and a second position. The switch transmits power to the detonator when the switch is in the first position, and the switch transmits power to a pyrotechnic device when the switch is in the second position. The pyrotechnic device detonates or deflagrates when the pyrotechnic device receives power.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 23, 2016
Date of Patent: December 11, 2018
    Assignee: SCHLUMBERGER TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION
Inventors: Pedro Alejandro Hernandez Lopez, Kenneth Randall Goodman
  • Patent number: 10077641
Abstract: A wellbore perforating device includes at least one perforating charge and an initiator. The initiator can include a ballistic train adapted to fire the at least one perforating charge. The ballistic train can include a detonator and a detonator cord. A ballistic interrupt shutter can be disposed between the detonator and the detonator cord. The ballistic interrupt shutter can prevent firing of the detonator cord.
