  • Publication number: 20070180655
Abstract: A top hinge is provided for a refrigerator cabinet door. A hinge body is formed of plastic having a top surface and a bottom surface. A hinge pin extends substantially perpendicularly from the bottom surface of the hinge body. One or more points of attachment are formed on the hinge body. An axis of twist passes through a center of the hinge pin and an effective center of attachment. At least a first rib and a second rib extend from the bottom surface of the hinge body. The ribs extend along a length of the bottom surface at an oblique angle relative to the axis of twist and diverge from each other by an angle of at least about 60 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20070134032
Abstract: A heated stripper finger assembly is provided for stripping toner image carrying copy sheets from a surface of a moving heated fusing member. The heated stripper finger assembly includes (a) at least one baffle forming part of a sheet path; (b) a finger shaft having a first end attached to the at least one baffle and a second distal end for forming a sheet directing angle with the surface of the moving heated fusing member; (c) a heated finger tip located at the second distal end of the finger shaft for contacting a surface of the moving heated fusing member to strip the toner image carrying copy sheets without toner building up on the heated finger tip; and (d) a heating element connected to the heated finger tip and to a heat source for controlling a temperature of the heated finger tip at a desired level.

  • Publication number: 20060291919
Abstract: An energy transfer device may include a fuser roll, a pressure roll, the pressure roller and the fuser roll being part of a marking system, and a heat pipe, the heat pipe being in contact with at least one of the fuser roll and the pressure roll. A method of using an energy transfer device that includes a fuser roll, a pressure roll, the pressure roll and the fuser roll being part of a marking system, and a heat pipe may include contacting the heat pipe with at least one of the fuser roll and the pressure roll, absorbing heat from a relatively hot region of the at least one of the fuser roll and the pressure roll using a working fluid, and dissipating the absorbed heat by evaporating the working fluid.

  • Publication number: 20060028105
Abstract: A door for a refrigerated appliance is provided which includes an outer metal panel having a generally rectangular front surface area lying generally in a first plane. Top, left, right and bottom side surface areas are formed as extensions from the front surface area, and are connected thereto via radiused bends to orient said side surface areas in planes approximately 90 degrees from the plane of the front surface area. The side areas are formed without seams or other discontinuations between any of the front or side surface areas. Flanges may extend from each of the top, left, right and bottom sides, the flanges being oriented generally in a plane approximately parallel to the plane of the front surface area. Adjacent flanges have overlapping areas which are secured together with metal fastening elements. The side surface areas may be joined at bends having radii in the range of 6-20 mm.
