  • Patent number: 11913755
Abstract: A method for forming a weapon accessory mounting device to attach to a projectile firing weapon is disclosed. A flexure for receiving a body of the weapon accessory is formed. A pivot portion is formed at a first end of the flexure to attach the flexure to the weapon at a first attachment region. A second attachment portion is formed at a second end of the flexure to attach the flexure to the weapon at a second attachment region. A first aperture is formed in the pivot portion configured to receive a pivot pin. A second aperture in the weapon accessory body receives the pivot pin at a weapon accessory body first end to attach the weapon accessory body first end to the pivot portion. The pivot portion is configured to convert at least a portion of energy of a weapon shock recoil from translational energy to rotational energy.

  • Patent number: 7540637
Abstract: A mounting and lowering system for supporting one or more luminaires or similar devices having use within an indoor space or similarly configured space such as an open-air pavilion or the like, the system comprising a support assembly capable of being raised and lowered above a location within such a space not conveniently available for use in the servicing of luminaires or devices mounted by the system. The present system includes a latching mechanism permitting remote latching and unlatching of the support assembly. Vertical displacement of the support assembly can be effected without power interruption. Primary drive components are positioned within the system to facilitate service and replacement. The invention further contemplates transition apparatus capable of use in indoor spaces having differing ceiling angles.

  • Patent number: 7393124
Abstract: A support assembly capable of being raised and lowered on a mast and configured in a compact, volumetrically efficient conformation lending architectural significance to the appearance of the support assembly when used to mount a plurality of luminaires or other apparatus intended for use in a location above a surface, such as the surface of the earth, the invention permits remote latching and unlatching of the support assembly through use of an improved latching mechanism having dimensions permitting housing of the latching mechanism within an enclosure of a reduced height, thereby lending an esthetically pleasing appearance to a mast-mounted support arrangement relative to prior art assemblies intended to perform similar functions.

  • Publication number: 20060179961
Abstract: A tool for obtaining a sample of water from a specified depth in a body of water such as a pool, spa or the like while preventing the inflow of water from the surface and other depths. The tool has an elongated handle having one or more handle sections, an inlet section having a downwardly facing inlet, an outlet section having an outlet for pouring water into a chemical test container and a fluid storage section, defined by a tubular member, disposed between the inlet and outlet sections. Preferably, the handle includes a depth marker to identify the depth at which to obtain the water sample. The upper end of the handle has a pressure control hole for use to prevent the entry of water into the tool until the inlet is at the desired depth in the water. The tool quickly and easily obtains the desired water sample.

  • Publication number: 20050177946
Abstract: A head support device which enables a user to comfortably rest in the prone position. The head support device includes a padded member having a generally horse-shoe shape with a top, arcuate sides spaced apart ends, a first inner side wall and a second inner side wall, a first region for supporting the user's face in the frontal sinus area, a second region adjacent to the eye socket and cheek area for supporting the user's face area, and a third region for support along the sides of the user's mandible. The support device also includes a substantially rigid support member for supporting the padded member. The support member has a pair of upstanding splayed outwardly walls which define an air channel for the free exchange of air when the user inhales or exhales. The support member has a plurality of opposing, substantially parallel zones which provide support for the above described support regions of the padded member when the user is lying in the prone position.
