Patent number: 11931751Abstract: A tire protection sprinkler including a frame body having an inlet, an outlet, defining an internal passageway extending between the inlet and the outlet along a sprinkler axis. A dome shaped deflector member is centered, axially aligned with the sprinkler axis, and spaced from the outlet. The deflector member has an outer surface and an inner surface that preferably includes: a peripheral region, a central region and an intermediate region. The intermediate region includes a primary deflecting surface, and a secondary deflecting surface that is surrounded by the primary deflecting surface The deflector member provides for generation of a non-circular spray pattern defined by four zones of fluid density concentrically formed about the sprinkler axis.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Inventors: Manuel R. Silva, Jr., Bernhard Abels, Kenneth Robert Brown, Stefan Vaeth

Publication number: 20240074685Abstract: The present disclosure discloses systems and methods for measuring the bladder volume of a patient. An ultrasound transducer array may be used to transmit electrical pulses and receive the backscattered pulses that can be analyzed to develop a representation of the patients bladder. The backscattered ultrasound signals may be amplified, converted, and processed by circuitry and computer software to develop an axial position of the anterior and posterior bladder walls. Bladder volume measurements derived from the patients bladder may then be wirelessly transmitted to a display device for assessment by a healthcare provider. The ultrasound transducer array portion of the device may be held in place between the patients peritoneum and pubis by an elastic strap or a belt to ensure proper positioning.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2022Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Gregory Robert Thoreson, Kenneth Hoyt, Katherine G. Patent number: 10603771Abstract: Installation tools and methods for installing a sprinkler within an opening or through hole in a wall or ceiling of an area to be protected. The tools include a reference surface and a gauge to be contacted by a sprinkler frame. The reference surface locates the gauge to define an operative position for the sprinkler frame and its operational components within a through hole of a wall.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2015Date of Patent: March 31, 2020Assignee: Tyco Fire Products LPInventors: Luke Stevenson Connery, Jeffrey Martin Brighenti, Bharani Kannan, Manikandan Krishnaswamy, Kenneth Robert Brown, Joseph W. Patent number: 9931660Abstract: Coat-in-place assemblies and methods to provide an aesthetically pleasing sprinkler assembly. A coat-in-place assembly includes a sprinkler body having a proximal portion and a distal portion, a thermally responsive trigger disposed adjacent the distal portion; and an escutcheon centered about the distal portion of the sprinkler body to define a void between the sprinkler axis and the escutcheon. A coating-inhibiting-cap encloses and protects the thermally responsive trigger between the sprinkler body and the cap. The cap extends into the void and is radially spaced inward relative to the escutcheon so as expose surfaces of the escutcheon for coating.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2016Date of Patent: April 3, 2018Assignees: Tyco Fire Products LP, Tyco Fire & Security GmbHInventors: Luke Stevenson Connery, Jeffrey Martin Brighenti, Bharani Kannan, Manikandan Krishnaswamy, Kenneth Robert Brown, Joseph W.
