Patent number: 11977573Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for automatic tagging of terms within a document and generating visual representations specifying the identifications to terms in the document and tags assigned to each term. Particularly, responsive to obtaining a document, a term auto-tagging system can implement machine learning and/or natural language processing techniques to compare terms included in the document with a database maintaining a mapping of terms and tags corresponding to each term to assign one or more tags to relevant terms. The identified terms and tags can be provided in a visual representation for processing/review at a client device, and the visual representation can be modified according to actions selected for the identified terms. The modified visual representation can be provided to a client device, and metadata for each term/tag can be uploaded to a database for training the term auto-tagging system.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2021Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Nirali K. Sanghvi, Andrew C. Cofano, Connor R. Batch, Kenneth Samuel, Veerandhar Veluvolu, Vlad Costin Pirvu, Nikita Dubnov

Patent number: 11248862Abstract: A charging handle for a firearm includes a longitudinal body with a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The proximal end portion includes at least one latch lever operable between a first position and a second position, the latch lever including a blocking plate. Moving the handle from the first position to the second position moves the blocking plate from a blocking position to a non-blocking position. The charging handle can be used with a firearm that includes a protrusion extending up from the rear-end portion of the lower receiver or from the recoil assembly. In the blocking position, the blocking plate is aligned with the protrusion and prevents the charging handle from rearward movement. When the blocking plate is in the non-blocking position, the blocking plate clears the protrusion to permit the charging handle to be drawn rearward.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2020Date of Patent: February 15, 2022Assignee: SIG SAUER, INC.Inventors: Kenneth Samuel Frazier, Bryan Charles Dustin

Publication number: 20220015888Abstract: A conductive porous fabric can be formed, such as by using a template material. The porous fabric can be conductive, such as thick enough to be self-supporting, or supported such as by another structure. The porous fabric can be used in implantable or percutaneous applications, such as to provide an immunoisolation barrier. In another example, the fabric can be coupled to an electric potential, such as to facilitate gas evolution when the porous fabric is located in an aqueous medium. Such gas evolution can be used for various purposes, such as to maintain living cell viability by providing oxygen, or for self-cleaning. Illustrative examples of porous fabric materials include gold, platinum, palladium, iridium, niobium, or a form of carbon such as graphene.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2021Publication date: January 20, 2022Inventor: Kenneth Samuel Rosenblum

Patent number: 10173706Abstract: Described is a mobile point-of sale cart for use in a retail store. The cart has four legs and three platforms coupled to the legs. Each of the three platforms is at a different height above the ground. The legs have wheels for easy movement from one place to another, and the legs are telescoping so the cart can be easily stored. The cart holds the equipment needed for a retail store employee to checkout customers and perform other common tasks. The cart has multiple bins to hold a handheld scanner, a debit card reader, and a portable printer. The cart has a bagging station coupled to the top platform, and a shopping bag support surface coupled to the second platform. The cart can be moved about the store to easily ring up purchases, and can be stored when not in use.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2017Date of Patent: January 8, 2019Assignee: WALMART APOLLO, LLCInventors: Yurgis Mauro Bacallao, Stephen Tyler Caution, Kenneth Samuel Larsen
