Publication number: 20250003115Abstract: A texturing device for producing crimped plastic filaments has a texturing nozzle with a hot compressed air supply port and a filament guide slot tube. A cooling mechanism in the form of a counter air flow mechanism is integrated in the texturing nozzle. A crimped plastic filament is formed by blowing a plastic filament through a nozzle insert in a conveying direction by hot compressed air and crimping in a filament guide slot tube. Then the crimped plastic filament is cooled by a counter air flow, which is cooler than the hot compressed air flow and which is directed onto the crimped plastic filament. A counter air flow slot tube is arranged between a cooling air supply port of the counter air flow mechanism and the filament guide slot tube. A pass-through nozzle is arranged between the counter air flow slot tube and the cooling air supply port.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2023Publication date: January 2, 2025Inventors: Kenneth Schindler, Klaus Peter Kluge

Publication number: 20160300535Abstract: A display system comprising a set of light sources that emit a set of frequencies that are capable of exciting a set of quantum dots is disclosed. The display system further comprises a controller that receives input image data to be rendered by the display system and sends out control signals to various components. In one embodiment, the display system may further comprise one, two or more modulators that illuminate the set of quantum dots to form a final rendered image. In one embodiment, the set of light sources optionally comprise a light of substantially uniform polarization—e.g., laser light sources—and may be modulated according to control signal from said controller. Other optional components may comprise a starting polarizer, a mid-polarizer, a first laser light filter, a finishing polarizer and a final laser light filter/reflector.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2014Publication date: October 13, 2016Applicant: DOLBY LABORATORIES LICENSING CORPORATIONInventors: John GILBERT, Scott P. ROBINSON, Kenneth SCHINDLER, Martin J. RICHARDS
