Abstract: A screening machine includes a rotary trommel screen having an overall length. The rotary trommel screen has an inlet and an outlet end. The screening machine includes a first collection area proximate to the inlet end and under the rotary trommel screen. The first collection area corresponds to at least 65 percent of the overall length of the trommel screen. The screening machine includes a second collection area proximate to the outlet end and under the rotary trommel screen. The second collection area corresponds to the remainder of the overall length of the trommel screen not corresponding to the first collection area. The first and second collection areas are configured to separate a first and second product respectively. Sections of the trommel screen corresponding to the first and second collection areas are configured such that a size of the first product is different than a size of the second product.

Abstract: A downhole ball valve includes a housing that includes a tubular member; a ball seat positioned in the tubular member, the ball seat including a sealing surface; and a ball that includes a first hemispherical portion, a second hemispherical portion, and a bore that extends through the ball between the first and second hemispherical portions. The ball is adjustable between a closed position with the first hemispherical portion sealingly engaged with the sealing surface of the ball seat to close the bore to fluid communication with the tubular member, and an open position with the bore at least partially in fluid communication with the tubular member. The first hemispherical portion includes a first material, and at least a portion of the second hemispherical portion that extends from a surface of the ball towards the bore of the ball includes a second material different than the first material.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to implement a design apparatus for applications in an industrial automation environment. The design apparatus is configured to maintain multiple configuration settings in connection with an application project. At deployment-time, a particular configuration can be selected and utilized when building an application for installation on a target device. The same application project can be utilized to deploy the application to multiple systems through selection of different configurations.

Abstract: An embodiment provides an information handling device, including: a display panel and a base component connected by a hinge between the display panel and the base component, the hinge supporting a tent physical configuration and a stand physical configuration; one or more processors; an operating system; and instructions accessible to the one or more processors that when executed provide one or more actions comprising: determining via a first input regarding physical orientation of the information handling device that the operating system is to be operated in a first operational mode that is not supportive of the tent physical configuration or the stand physical configuration; operating the operating system in the first operational mode; and selectively altering a function of the first operational mode after receiving an additional input to support one or more of the tent physical configuration and the stand physical configuration. Abstract: An automated dispenser for dispensing spices, condiments, herbs, teas, ground coffees, or powdered beverages, comprising a plurality of cartridges mounted on a carrier respectively containing said items, having a dispending means with relative movement capable between said dispensing means and said cartridges. A look-up table, containing a plurality of separate, discrete dispensing programs is provided for operation of the dispensing means to dispense a particular variety of mixtures and quantities from said cartridges. When a spice blend and associated dispensing program is selected by a user, the dispensing program aligns the dispensing means relative to the cartridge carrier and cartridge, to dispense a particular quantity and, in the case of a mix, to subsequently align with other selected cartridges to provide, from said cartridges, the mix of spices, herbs, condiments, powdered beverages or ground coffees. A specialized cartridge adapted for use in said automated dispenser is also disclosed.

Abstract: Methods of aluminizing the surface of a metal substrate. The methods of the present invention do not require establishment of a vacuum or a reducing atmosphere, as is typically necessary. Accordingly, aluminization can occur in the presence of oxygen, which greatly simplifies and reduces processing costs by allowing deposition of the aluminum coating to be performed, for example, in air. Embodiments of the present invention can be characterized by applying a slurry that includes a binder and powder granules containing aluminum to the metal substrate surface. Then, in a combined step, a portion of the aluminum is diffused into the substrate and a portion of the aluminum is oxidized by heating the slurry to a temperature greater than the melting point of the aluminum in an oxygen-containing atmosphere.

Abstract: Reactive coating processes are provided that can include providing a coating material, reacting the coating material to form a shell about the coating material, contacting the shelled coating material with a substrate to be coated, depositing the coating material from within the shelled coating material on the substrate, and removing the shells from the substrate. Coating materials may be deposited upon a substrate to be coated and reacted to form a shell about the coating material. The coating materials can be particles and a shell can be formed about each of the individual particles.

Abstract: An infrared imaging system is formed by passively aligning two or more lens wafers including a plurality of lenses. The lens wafers may be pre-fabricated lens wafers in which the plurality of lenses are aligned utilizing an alignment jig having a plurality of conduits for distributing bonding material. Alternatively, the lens wafers may be formed of a base material molded around the plurality of optical lenses. The lens wafers may have a variety of alignment features, alignment inserts and/or alignment elements.

Abstract: A method of retrieving categorical data entries through an interactive graphical abstraction employs a generate categorical post entries process and a load categorical post entries process. Through the generate categorical post entries process, post entries generated by a user are automatically associated in a user post entry database table with a specific BranchID value of which the posting user is the OwnerUserID, thereby enabling retrieval thereof. Through the loading categorical post entries process, a user a desired branch of a an interactive graphical abstraction on a graphical user interface, thereby causing each post entry in the database from a user on the branch selected by the user through the interactive graphical abstraction to be pulled for display or storage.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method of aligning elements in a manufacturing process includes placing a middle element onto a base element, the base element forming first alignment features, the middle element forming apertures therethrough corresponding to the first alignment features. The method also includes placing second alignment features of an upper element onto the first alignment features such that the first and second alignment features cooperate, through the apertures, to align the upper element with the base element. An infrared lens assembly includes a lens formed of an infrared transmitting material that is disposed within a carrier of a base material, the lens being molded within the carrier with at least one feature that secures the lens to the carrier.
