  • Patent number: 11504596
Abstract: A golf practice device comprises a main frame which contains a compressible energy transfer pad and a flexible turf section which rests atop the energy transfer pad. The turf section is secured in the frame only along a forward end of the turf section. Additionally, the turf section is secured to the energy transfer pad at an end opposite from the forward end or along a length of the energy transfer pad. Thus, when the turf section is struck by a swinging golf club, the turf section will flex, bend and move relative to the frame, thereby simulating the feel of creation of a divot. A tee box may be removably attached to the frame for allowing a golfer to practice teeing off. Multiple main and tee boxes may be attached together, both lengthwise and widthwise.

  • Patent number: 6661893
Abstract: A telephone loop monitoring and isolation device which can be connected to a wireless telephone subscriber unit providing an interface between an analog or digital central station network and the internal telephone wiring of a subscribers premises. The device is also operable with a cable telephone subscriber unit. The device provides passive real time loop status information as well as loop isolation if the voltage across the loop falls below a predetermined level. When normal loop impedance conditions are restored, the subscriber loop is automatically reconnected to the subscriber telephone unit. The device is effective for examining open circuit and abnormal impedance conditions and provides loop status information to the telephone subscriber.

  • Patent number: 5880367
Abstract: A sensing device conveniently and accurately produces electrical signal representative of the direction in which he steerable wheels (10 and 11) of a vehicle are pointing and the rate of change of the direction of the steerable wheels. The device includes a circular or donut-shaped magnet (26) that is attached to the pinion (12) of a rack and pinion steering gear (6). The magnet has a plurality of magnetic poles (28) spaced around its circumference and preferably extending axially through the magnet. As the magnetic poles rotate past a plurality of sensors (36 and 38) that are located in quadrature positioning relative to the magnetic poles and to each other, the sensors generate electrical signals that are processed to determine the rotation direction of the pinion and the rate of such rotation.

  • Patent number: 4033505
Abstract: A cyclonic, multiple vortex type fuel burner having a combustion chamber with a closed curved end, with the main fuel and auxiliary fuel and air being tangentially injected into the chamber adjacent to the curved end creating a circular oriented combustion of the fuel, with the air being injected at varying quantities along the length of the combustion chamber, all to provide a controlled temperature in the burner chamber that burns all the combustible materials in the fuel and turns the non-combustible materials into dry slag or wet slag without burning the refractory materials forming the combustion chamber. The burner feeds a volume of air and fuel through fixed openings into the combustion chamber to provide a preset fuel/air ratio disribution along the length of the combustion chamber. This fuel/air ratio is subject to change with changes in the amount or density of fuel fed to the burner.
