Abstract: A system and related methods comprise an Internet-hosted application service for online storage, editing and sharing of digital video content, whereby a group of users collaborate to jointly create a video production. Three methods are outlined for use with an online editor: sequential (round-robin editing), largely parallel (editor-in-charge editing), and fully parallel (Delphi editing). The Internet-hosted application service can be used on a dedicated website or its functionality can be served to different websites seeking to provide users with enhanced video editing capabilities.

Abstract: A Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that incorporates predictive models. The system is used by business users who are unfamiliar with the art of data mining. The predictive model, which is constructed by a model-building mechanism in a data mining subsystem, accepts the appropriate input attributes, performs calculations against a segment comprised of records, and generates an output attribute.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for providing a description of logic used in determining an outcome based on automatic processing of data is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of hierarchically applying a series of decision criteria to the data to arrive at the outcome, while recording a rule determined from application of each decision criteria to the data, and retrieving the recorded rules. The article of manufacture comprises a data storage device tangibly embodying instructions to perform the method steps outlined above, and the apparatus for performing the method steps.

The apparatus comprises a database management system, for storing and retrieving data from a plurality of database tables wherein the data in the database tables is controllably accessible according to privacy parameters stored in the database table, a database management system interface operatively coupled to the database management system and controlling access to the data within the database tables according to the privacy parameters, and an audit module, communicatively coupled to the database management system interface, for validating enforcement of the data privacy parameters in the database management system.

Abstract: A system and method for generating a report for a user which allows the user to make decisions, without requiring the user to understand or interpret data itself. A database management program executed by a server within a system for generating the report for the user includes a first subsystem for translating user requests for data, for generating dimensional queries for retrieving data from a database, and for processing user modifications to data types used in generating the report. A second subsystem coupled to the first subsystem reads data from the database, creates the data types, creates a mapping of the data types to the data, uses the mapping to translate user-initiated dimensional queries received from the first subsystem into Structured Query Language (SQL), and returns query results to the first subsystem. A third subsystem creates the report at a predetermined time.
