  • Patent number: 4993268
Abstract: The test method employed uses a cylindrical solid aluminum pin having a first stem portion and a threaded second portion separated by a middle necked down portion. The test pin threaded portion is inserted into a flowable adhesive such as an epoxy inside a joining pin located in a hole through abutting honeycomb panels and the epoxy is allowed to cure. A force is exerted on the first portion of the test pin until either the test pin separates at the necked down portion or the test pin is dislodged from the joining pin. In the latter case, the test indicates an improper mixture or a poor curing of the adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4918578
Abstract: A visual display device illuminated by flexible and shock absorbing edge-lighting means is provided. The device includes a transparent panel of light piping material and a light-scattering design integrated with the panel. The transparent panel has a light-receiving edge along the perimeter thereof. A flexible plastic-exterior light string comprises lighting elements housed in a light refracting conduit. The light string is nudged and pressed against the light-receiving edge of the transparent panel to deform the refracting conduit of the light string to the contour of the edge.

  • Patent number: 4446991
Abstract: A self-contained fluid dispenser comprising an elongated tubular expandable unit of elastomeric material having a closed end and an opposite open end, the open end being provided with a neck piece having a recess for sealingly supporting a valve and valve support plate, the material around said recess being thickened to prevent significant stretching around the valve support, the tubular unit being tapered to provide a thinner wall at the closed end thereof to insure complete filling of the unit. One embodiment includes an annular flange portion for sealing the neck piece to the valve support. One embodiment comprises a plurality of annular ribs made separately or as an integral part of the tubular unit for controlling the shape and pressure of the expanded tubular unit.

  • Patent number: 4324350
Abstract: A unitary, self-contained fluid spray dispenser comprising an elongated tubular expandable unit of elastomeric material of selected diameter and length, attached at its open end to a valve support plate by way of a plastic neck piece carried by the open end of the unit. The expandable unit is filled with fluid to be dispensed through the valve and distended thereby to a selected volume and internal pressure. A housing of various materials may be implemented to carry the dispenser for purposes of convenience, handling and appearance.
