  • Patent number: 8560105
Abstract: A computer implemented system includes an integrated logistics support system and a product integrity analysis system that utilize an integrated database. The product integrity analysis system includes a failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) application that is operable to access a plurality of distribution references, analyze a first and a second distribution reference from the plurality of distribution references, and calculate a particular distribution for a particular part type in the first distribution reference using an associated distribution of the particular part type in the second distribution reference.

  • Patent number: 7930052
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a computer implemented system includes an integrated logistics support system and a product integrity analysis system that utilize an integrated database. The product integrity analysis system is operable to retrieve at least a portion of logistics data records from the database, calculate an anticipated integrity value of the product using the portion of logistics data records, and store the anticipated integrity value of the product in the database.

  • Patent number: 5737532
Abstract: A method and system for providing video on demand from a database of textual information. In accordance with the inventive method, video data is stored on an addressable medium. The addresses for video segments are stored for retrieval when corresponding textual information is accessed in the database. In a particular embodiment, the addresses are stored in a lookup table which is read whenever a section of textual data is accessed. When the table indicates that video is available, corresponding to the text being viewed, an icon is displayed on the screen. When the video option is exercised, the address for the video segment is retrieved from the table and used to access the video storage medium. Video from the medium is then displayed interactively. The invention thus provides a system and technique for providing access to live action video at appropriate locations in a computer database.

  • Patent number: 5493679
Abstract: A process for establishing a relationship between the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database and a released engineering drawing database. The process includes establishing several database pointer tables for relating the drawings to appropriate end items, task and subtasks. As a result of the process, Logistics Support Analysis functions can be performed in less time, for less cost and with fewer errors. The query aspects of the LSAR database can be used to relate specific hardware to its maintenance procedures, special tool requirements and special handling equipment. Source engineering documents are related to publications art, and engineering drawings are related to task/subtask. The process facilitates automated change notification procedures.

  • Patent number: 5457792
Abstract: A process for extracting data from a MIL-STD relational database, parsing and automatically processing the resultant output into a MIL-STD technical publication. The data extracted from the database is tagged, sorted and passed to a Parser program which produces several outputs. One output is a disk file which has encoded tags and control characters. The disk file is then processed into word processing syntax used in MIL-STD publications. Another output is a formatted pseudo technical publication which contains all relevant data in a style which resembles a technical manual. This pseudo technical publication allows the data to be reviewed and approved prior to processing the disk file data into a technical publication. A third output is a Task checklist.
