  • Publication number: 20210326989
Abstract: In a computer-implemented method, disaster location data indicating a location (e.g., latitude and longitude) of a natural disaster may be received, and a location (e.g., latitude and longitude) of a risk (such as a property or home) may be determined. A distance between the location of the natural disaster and the location of the risk may be calculated. It may be determined that the risk is, or is not, insurable at least in part by comparing the calculated distance to a threshold distance. In response to determining that the property is, or is not, insurable, a user interface may be caused to provide an indication that the risk is, or is not, insurable, respectively. When a property is determined to be insurable, the method may facilitate providing property insurance covering properties that otherwise would not be eligible or qualify for insurance as a result of the natural disaster.

  • Patent number: 7682181
Abstract: A latch securing member for use in maintaining a first connector having at least one latching arm in latching engagement with a second connector having at least one latch projection. The latch securing member has an inclined member which extends from proximate a front face to a rear wall, with the inclined member being positioned proximate a bottom wall at the front face and inclined toward a top surface. At least one securing arm extends from the rear wall toward the front face and is positioned proximate the top surface. The inclined member is positioned to cooperate with the latching arm of the first connector to prevent the latching arm from disengagement from the latching projection of the second connector. The securing arm cooperates with the latching arm to maintain the latch securing member in position relative to the latching arm.

  • Patent number: 6024594
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having a latch arm which is connected to the housing by a tubular hinge that is integrally molded with the housing and with the latch arm. The latch arm extends from the housing in a forward direction, and an axis of the tubular hinge extends transverse to the forward direction. A locking arm is connected to the latch arm and is cooperable with the housing to exert tension on the latch arm when the latch arm is engaged with a mating electrical connector. The locking arm has a hook portion that engages an inclined surface of the housing to facilitate tensioning of the latch arm.

  • Patent number: 5934781
Abstract: An integrated lighting system designed to evenly illuminate the instruments, switches, warning placards and checklists includes a fiber-optic ribbons held in place and adhered to one or more of three specially designed bezels. A first embodiment includes a bezel which fits over, for example, a relatively smaller 21/4 inch standard size instrument. A second embodiment of the bezel fits over a standard size 31/8 inch instrument having no adjusting knobs which must be avoided. A third embodiment includes a bezel fits the 31/8 inch instrument with the cut-out for adjusting knobs. A fourth embodiment includes a channel support for mounting a printed label and which supports the label and accommodates fiber tape between the channel support and printed label.
