Abstract: The improvement in an offshore structure having a rigid base adapted to rest on a sea floor comprising a crushable supporting means mounted beneath the base and projecting downwardly therefrom, and adapted to be partially crushably compressed between the base and the sea floor when the structure is submerged to rest on the sea floor, thereby supporting the structure temporarily or permanently.

Abstract: This invention provides a non-expendable support or carrier for a disposable bedpan and broadly comprises a center portion shaped to receive the receptacle portion of a bedpan, a web adapted to fit below and support the conventional seat part of the bedpan, and extending from said web a downwardly and outwardly extending flange which for the major part of its circumference is only about half the depth of the dished part. At opposite sides and rearwardly of the support's transverse center line said flange is formed with wing portions which extend downwardly and outwardly to or almost to the base of the dished part. The extremities of said wing portions preferably are widened or flanged to provide broad smooth bearing surfaces.

Abstract: This invention is concerned with disposable bedpans of the kind composed of fibrous, e.g. cellulose pulp or paper, stock and which after use and together with their contents are disposed of via waste disposal apparatus to a normal drainage system, and provides a support for such a bedpan which also is disposable via the drainage system, whereby there is provided in combination a bedpan and support, an assembly which consists of a disposable bedpan fitted with a disposable support as referred to above. In a preferred form the bedpan of the assembly incorporates integral support means which enables it in same circumstances to be used when separated from its support.

Abstract: The invention provides a disposable insert for a bed-pan or commode, said insert having a seat-portion for fitting over the peripheral area of the supporting member, and within said seat-portion an aperture forming an opening into the receptacle portion of the insert and said seat portion being formed at each side towards its rear with a concavity, and at its rear a central depression said concavities and depression being merged smoothly together and shaped to receive the buttocks and relieve pressure on the posterior bones of a person using the seat.
