  • Patent number: 4355821
Abstract: A loose-leaf display binder formed of a cover of flexible sheet material, preferably of one piece and of uniform bendability from top to bottom, which forms front and back cover panels hinged to a spine panel, and also a triangular brace panel hinged to the lower edges of the cover panels and foldable flat against their inner faces to permit the binder to be opened and closed as a book. The binder also includes a stiff spine bar having means such as loose-leaf rings for binding leaves thereto. The upper portion of the spine bar is fixedly connected to the upper portion of the cover spine panel, and the lower portion of the cover is left free to be flexibly bowed rearward away from the lower end of the spine bar to form a rear display support for the binder.

  • Patent number: 4261664
Abstract: A one-piece binder blank is die cut from plastic sheet stock and formed with integral straps and strap keepers to fasten loose leaves in the binder. The blank is scored to form one or more fold lines defining a spine between front and back covers. At spaced positions along the spine, the back cover is cut out to form a plurality of binder straps integrally connected at their bases with the cover and having barbed heads at their free ends. At corresponding opposite locations, the front cover is cut to form two spaced slits and the strips of material between the slits are stretched and displaced to form low arched keepers through which the barbed ends are passed to secure the straps to the front cover. The straps are longer than the distance between the strap bases and the keepers when the binder is open flat, and stand arched across the spine so as to allow loose leaves thereon to swing freely from flat against one cover to flat against the other.

  • Patent number: 4201322
Abstract: A carrier for two rows of one or more bottles, made of die-cut plastic sheet. Two bottom panels extend between upright center and outer-face panels. The center panel(s) connect directly to top handle elements and the outer face panels connect thereto through top panels formed of bottle-separator strips. Lift struts integral with bottom and center panels extend from the outer halves of the bottom panels, upward and inward, across the center planes of the bottles to the handle, so as to separate the bottoms of the bottles, and to form primary lift elements from the bottom of the bottles to the handle. Two other lift trains connect the handle to the bottom panels, an inner one through the center panels and an outer one through the top and outer face panels. Such elements confine and protect each bottle on all four sides.

  • Patent number: 4056326
Abstract: A stiff plastic sheet is heat-scored on spaced parallel lines to form front and rear binder covers hinged at the score lines to a wide backbone. Two post-mounting units formed of similar plastic sheet material have a base strip along one edge and a post-supporting strip along the other edge, connected by a web which is heat-scored so as to flex at two-spaced flex lines and which is cut away at spaced areas to leave a series of straps between the strips so that together they are more flexible than the cover hinges. The base strips are ultrasonically welded to the covers along the inner edges of the covers so as to hold the post-supporting strips for swinging movement about the flex lines which are spaced outward from the hinge lines between the covers and the backbone.
