    Abstract: A multi-passenger vehicle child seat assembly for permitting an adult passenger to comfortably sit with first and second infant passengers in a rear seat of an existing vehicle preferably includes a mechanism for removably interlocking the first and second vehicle child seats together by displacing the medial edges along a first linear travel path until directly engaging each other. The assembly may also include a mechanism for absorbing impact forces exerted against the first and second vehicle child seats by resiliently oscillating the medial edges along a second linear travel path.
