  • Patent number: 11921848
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that characterizes susceptibility of an inferential model to follow signal degradation. During operation, the system receives a set of time-series signals associated with sensors in a monitored system during normal fault-free operation. Next, the system trains the inferential model using the set of time-series signals. The system then characterizes susceptibility of the inferential model to follow signal degradation. During this process, the system adds degradation to a signal in the set of time-series signals to produce a degraded signal. Next, the system uses the inferential model to perform prognostic-surveillance operations on the set of time-series signals with the degraded signal. Finally, the system characterizes susceptibility of the inferential model to follow degradation in the signal based on results of the prognostic-surveillance operations.

  • Publication number: 20220087824
Abstract: An acetabular shell insertion tool with an anti-rotation feature is provided. The insertion tool attaches to an acetabular shell including a center hole having an internal threading and an anti-rotation recess disposed around the center hole and having a predetermined shape. The insertion tool includes an outer shaft and an inner shaft disposed within the outer shaft. The outer shaft has an anti-rotation projection shaped to be received in the anti-rotation recess of the acetabular shell so as to prevent rotation of the outer shaft relative to the acetabular shell, thereby preventing the insertion tool from disengaging from the shell. The inner shaft has a threaded tip adapted to be threaded into the internal threading of the center hole to lock the insertion tool to the acetabular shell.

  • Patent number: 11093163
Abstract: The disclosed technology generally describes separating types of data chunks in a copy-on-write/MVCC B+ tree, chunk-based data storage system, and also allocating the sizes of leaf chunks to be smaller than that of other (e.g., internal and root node) chunks. By having leaf chunks separate from node chunks, the probability of having a fully reclaimable (without copying) chunk is increased. Similarly, by having smaller sized leaf chunks relative to node chunks, the probability of having a fully reclaimable (without copying) leaf chunks is increased. The technology thus facilitates more efficient garbage collection.

  • Patent number: 10984050
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product for managing a storage system are provided. For example, in a method, a tree index of the storage system is obtained, where a leaf node among multiple leaf nodes in the tree index comprising a keyword and an attribute of an object among multiple objects in the storage system. Respective attributes of nodes in a set of the multiple leaf nodes in the tree index are obtained, and the set of the multiple leaf nodes having a same parent node. The tree index is updated based on respective attributes of the leaf nodes in the set of the multiple leaf nodes. With the above example implementations, performance of the index of the storage system can be increased, and further overall response speed of the storage system can be improved. Further, there is provided an apparatus and computer program product for managing a storage system.

  • Patent number: 10795579
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, a system and computer program products for managing storage units. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, it is determined whether a first storage unit allocated at a first node is reclaimable, wherein data in the first storage unit is backed up to a second storage unit at a second node. In response to determining that the first storage unit is reclaimable, a condition to be satisfied for reclaiming the second storage unit is determined. A command indicating the condition is sent to the second node, such that the second node reclaims the second storage unit in response to the condition being satisfied. Moreover, in response to the command being sent, the first storage unit is reclaimed. The embodiments of the present disclosure enable timely reclaiming of storage units, thereby improving utilization of the storage space effectively.

  • Patent number: 10644577
Abstract: The present invention provides a kind of rotor and a motor with the rotor. The rotor comprises a shaft, a magnetic yoke of rotor, several primary permanent magnet groups and several secondary permanent magnet groups. The said several primary permanent magnet groups and the said several secondary permanent magnet groups are alternatively distributed along the circumference of the said magnetic yoke of rotor at the same interval. The projection of the said primary permanent magnet group and that of the said secondary permanent magnet group on a plane vertical to the said shaft are adjacent, and their edges overlap. The present invention can reduce torque pulsation caused by the electromagnetic factors, and increase the external work of torque. Therefore, it has good effects on improving power efficiency of the motor and saving energy.
