  • Patent number: 6777850
Abstract: A stator core is prepared into a cylindrical shape by abutting four arc-shaped laminated core divisions and welding an outer surface and an inner surface of the abutted portions. Each of the laminated core divisions is prepared by bending into an arc shape a rectangular parallelepiped laminated body formed by laminating thin magnetic plates. Second outer plate-joining weld portions are applied at positions dividing the outer surface of the laminated body into three sections, and first inner and outer plate-joining weld portions are applied to the inner surface and the outer surface in the vicinity of end portions of the laminated body.

  • Patent number: 6707211
Abstract: A stator winding is formed by inserting two conductor segments each from a first end surface of a stator core into a pair of slots separated by six slots and joining together end portions of the conductor segments extending outward from a second end surface of the stator core, slot-housed portions of the conductor segments being formed with a rectangular cross section and linking portions constituting coil ends being formed with a circular cross section.

  • Publication number: 20030214198
Abstract: A cylindrical laminated body is prepared by winding into a helical shape a continuous first sheet formed by press-punching from a thin first magnetic steel sheet material. A second sheet having a predetermined length is prepared by press-punching from a thicker second magnetic steel sheet material. Next, chamfered portions are formed on edge portions of second recess portions by chamfering the second sheet. Then, the second sheet is bent into an annular shape and the second sheets bent into the annular shape are stacked on both axial ends of the laminated body and integrated by laser welding.

  • Publication number: 20030020357
Abstract: A stator core is constructed by laminating and integrating first and second core divisions with the press punch directions thereof facing each other, each core division being constructed by winding a single strip of magnetic steel sheet into a helical shape with the press punch direction thereof aligned.

  • Patent number: 6222293
Abstract: A starter comprises a fixing member which has a cylindrical portion and rotation stoppers on the outer wall of the cylindrical portion and is fixed to a bracket so that its movement in a circumferential direction is limited by the rotation stoppers, a mating portion is formed by mating the inner surface of the cylindrical portion of the fixing member with the outer surface of the internal gear of the epicyclic gear reduction unit, and the mating portion is set such that the internal gear slides and rotates with respect to the fixing member when rotation torque applied to the starting output shaft exceeds a predetermined value by machining the end surface of the cylindrical portion of a provisional mating portion formed by provisionally mating the inner surface of the cylindrical portion of the fixing member with the outer surface of the internal gear. Therefore, the breakage of elements of the output transmission system of the starter can be prevented.
