  • Publication number: 20230111902
Abstract: A windshield according to the present invention includes an outer glass plate, an inner glass plate that faces the outer glass plate, and an intermediate film disposed between the outer glass plate and the inner glass plate, and in at least a partial region of the outer glass plate and the inner glass plate, compressive principal stress on a surface on a vehicle exterior side of the outer glass plate is larger than compressive principal stress on a surface on a vehicle interior side of the inner glass plate.

  • Publication number: 20160304384
Abstract: A method for producing a glass plate according to the present invention includes: a conveying-in step of conveying a heated glass plate into a molding apparatus; a first molding step of molding the glass plate in a state where at least part of a peripheral edge portion of at least one of an upper face and a lower face of the glass plate is free from contact; a separating step of separating at least a region molded in the first molding step, of the glass plate, from any mold that the region was in contact with; a second molding step of molding a region including at least part of the peripheral edge portion of the glass plate; and a conveying-out step of conveying the glass plate subjected to the second molding step, out of the molding apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20110020611
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a single-curved glass sheet with little difference between the radius of curvature of a front end portion and the radius of curvature of a rear end portion of the glass sheet. The apparatus includes a heating furnace and a cooling device. The cooling device is provided with a plurality of upper nozzles for spraying cooling air onto an upper surface of heated/molded curved glass sheet. The upper nozzles are moved by movement means parallel to a path of travel of the glass sheet.

  • Patent number: 6634933
Abstract: A rod lens manufacturing method having satisfactory machining accuracy and enabling mass production. In the method, lens assembly sheets, each holding at least a row of rod lenses, are prepared. The lens assembly sheets are then arranged on holding surfaces defined on a jig. The holding surfaces are inclined relative to a reference surface of the jig by a predetermined angle. Each of the lens assembly sheet is clamped so that optical axes of the rod lenses are inclined relative to a direction perpendicular to the reference surface by that predetermined angle. The lens assembly sheets are then ground and polished.
