Abstract: An audio output apparatus which outputs an audio signal to an audio control apparatus controlling processing of the audio signal, and to which an external device having an external terminal is connectable includes an output terminal, a detecting section, a generating section, and a transmitting section. The output terminal is connected with the external terminal and outputs the audio signal to the external device via the external terminal. The detecting section detects whether or not the external terminal is connected to the output terminal. The generating section generates a control signal based on a result of the detection by the detecting means. The transmitting section transmits the generated control signal to the audio control apparatus in order that the audio control apparatus controls the processing of the audio signal based on the control signal.

Abstract: A display system includes: a liquid crystal display section displaying an image; a backlight source emitting source light; a photosensor section detecting a spectrum distribution of external light supplied from outside; and an external-light adjustment section adjusting the external light based on a detection result of the photosensor section. The backlight source supplies the emitted source light to the liquid crystal display section, and the external-light adjustment section supplies the adjusted external light to the liquid crystal display section.

Abstract: An image display device includes: an image display section; a display controller alternately displaying left and right eye images, which have parallax therebetween, on the image display section; a synchronizing signal generating section generating a synchronizing signal indicating a display timing of each of the left and right eye images on the image display section, as an internal synchronizing signal; a synchronizing signal receiver receiving a synchronizing signal indicating the display timing of each of the left and right eye images output from another image display device, as an external synchronizing signal; and a synchronizing signal selecting section selecting either the external synchronizing signal or the internal synchronizing signal output from the synchronizing signal generating section, as a reference synchronizing signal, when the synchronizing signal receiver receives the external synchronizing signal.

The selection unit selects a single apparatus from the communication apparatus and the one or more apparatuses capable of performing the conversion processing, as an executing apparatus in which the conversion processing should be executed.
