  • Publication number: 20190310581
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a rotatable cylindrical component to be cleaned, and a bar brush having a base substrate and bristles. The base substrate of the bar brush is located at a fixed position relative to the component to be cleaned. The bristles extend from the base substrate to contact the component to be cleaned. The bristles have free ends that form a tip end surface of the bar brush. The tip end surface has a curved shape that conforms with a surface of the component, when the bristles are not in contact with the surface to be cleaned.

  • Publication number: 20190293582
Abstract: A moisture detection apparatus is equipped with a case having a detection surface. The apparatus includes a heat flow sensor provided to be in contact with the detection surface, a heat source provided on a side facing the detection surface with the heat flow sensor therebetween, and a determining unit. The heat flow censer, the heat source, and the determining unit are housed in the case. The heat flow sensor is oriented to detect a flow of heat from the heat source towards the detection surface. The heat source generates heat at all times at an amount that enables the heat flow sensor to be in a thermally saturated state in a state where moisture is not attached to an outer side of the detection surface. The the determining unit determines that moisture is detected when an output from the heat flow sensor changes such as to exceed a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20190170857
Abstract: A radar transceiver may include a noise canceller. The noise canceller may include a phase shifter circuit, a variable gain amplifier, and a coupler circuit. The phase shifter circuit may shift (i) a phase of a modulated signal, (ii) a phase of an original signal, or (iii) a phase of a signal generated by a noise cancellation signal generator circuit having a frequency corresponding to a frequency of a reflected signal which is reflected by an obstacle. The variable gain amplifier may amplify or attenuate a noise cancellation signal. The coupler circuit may couple the noise cancellation signal with a received signal from a receiver. An amplitude of the noise cancellation signal may be controlled by a controller via the variable gain amplifier. A phase shift amount of the noise cancellation signal may be controlled by the controller via the phase shifter circuit.

  • Patent number: 5135686
Abstract: A method to continuousky harden light-curable resins, by irradiating at least one shaped article made of a light-curable resin by continuously moving the article past a multiplicity of light sources while changing the flux of the irradiated light in multiple steps corresponding to the moving positions of the object and an apparatus to accomplish this method including means to continuously move the article relative to the multiple irradiation sources and means to adjust the flux density in multiple steps corresponding to the moving positions of the article. Specifically, the flux density of the light irradiated on the moving article is changed stepwide depending upon the position and the location of the article and the polymerization speed of the article and the hardening depth can be controlled in relation to its position and time.

  • Patent number: 5135685
Abstract: A method and apparatus to continuously harden articles made of visible light-curable resins, including continuously moving the articles to be hardened relative to a multiplicity of sources of visible light which are independently controllable to be able to vary the radiation to which the articles is exposed during its passage while independently controlling the temperature at which this takes place; and apparatus to accomplish this such that a large number of the objects to be irradiated passing through the hardening apparatus have the same exposure history to the visible light and to heating or cooling respectively. As the result, there is substantially no variation in the physical properties of these photo-polymerized products.
