Abstract: The present technique relates to a playback apparatus, a playback method, and a program which can perform loop playback of video images while continuing outputting a sound. The present technique has a playback unit which plays back a first stream and a second stream out of synchronization, a first stream has a first browsing unit and a second browsing unit, and a second browsing unit is a browsing unit which includes part of the first browsing unit. Further, the playback unit performs a control to play back the second browsing unit after playing back the first browsing unit, and make a transition to playback from a top of the first browsing unit after playing back the second browsing unit. The present technique is applicable to a blue-ray disk player.

Abstract: The present technology relates to an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program allowing a user to access a reference document or the like written inside an electronic document by only clicking on a description of the reference document. A storing unit that stores information of an electronic document, an extraction unit that extracts a sentence including the information stored in the storing unit from a predetermined electronic document, and a generation unit that generates a link to the information stored in the storing unit from the sentence extracted by the extraction unit are provided. Even in a case where the electronic document is a document that is formed as the electronic document through scanning, when the degree of matching between the sentence included in the electronic document and the information stored in the storing unit is high, the sentence and the information are associated with each other, and a link is established.

Abstract: There is disclosed a method for generating data for a recording medium. The method includes receiving original content data representing a plurality of still images and identifying a first subset of the still images to be recorded with copy-protection and a second subset of the still images to be recorded without copy-protection. The method also includes converting data representing the first subset into moving image data and copy-protecting the moving image data. The method also includes generating new content data, the new content data including the copy-protected moving image data and data representing the second subset.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus including an acquisition unit, a reproduction unit, an input unit, and a control unit. The acquisition unit obtains, of moving image data including images of pages having serial page numbers and an image of motion of turning the pages one by one in order of the page numbers, first moving image data in which a page time being a time on the moving image data is assigned to each page. The reproduction unit reproduces the first moving image data, generates a moving image, and displays the moving image on a display screen. The input unit receives a designation of a second page different from a first page of the first moving image data currently displayed on the display screen. The control unit calculates a page time difference therebetween and controls a reproduction speed of the first moving image data depending on it.
