  • Patent number: 10245835
Abstract: Provided is a liquid discharging apparatus, including: a head having a discharging port surface on which discharging ports are formed, and configured to perform a discharging operation for discharging liquid through the discharging ports; a suction port configured to perform a suction operation for the discharging port surface; a pressure changing unit configured to change a pressure in the head; and a control unit configured to perform the suction operation under a state in which the pressure changing unit has changed the pressure in the head in a positive pressure direction with respect to a pressure that is set during the discharging operation and the suction port is spaced away from the discharging port surface.

  • Publication number: 20160288374
Abstract: A head cleaning method performed by a liquid discharge apparatus including a head configured to discharge a resist containing an acrylic monomer as a main component is provided. The method comprises using a cleaning solution to clean a discharge surface of the head and a vicinity of the discharge surface, wherein a difference between a dissolution parameter (SP value) of the cleaning solution and a dissolution parameter of the resist falls within a range of ±2.

  • Patent number: 9096064
Abstract: In an ink jet printing apparatus prints an image by employing a print head capable of ejecting ink from ejection ports, a suction unit draws ink from the ejection ports into an interior of the cap by applying a suction force to the interior of a cap that is covering the ejection ports. An atmosphere communication unit exposes to the atmosphere the interior of the cap that is covering the ejection ports, and a pressure increase unit increases a pressure in an internal of the print head. A control unit permits the suction unit to apply the suction force to the interior of the cap, and permits the pressure increase unit to increase the pressure in the internal of the print head before the atmosphere communication unit exposes the interior of the cap to the atmosphere in a state where the ejection ports is covered with the cap.
